Omiya pine tree Statue of Kanichi Omiya Since the Meiji era, many literary giants have lived in Atami, where they have written masterpieces. Among them, the most famous is the novel "The golden demon(Konjiki Yasha)" by Koyo Ozaki, which was published intermittently in the "Yomiuri Shimbun" and "New Novels" for six years from the 30th year of Meiji 30. The song "Omiya pine tree" named after this novel and the song that begins with "Walking on the coast of Atami..." became one and spread explosively, and the main character "Kan'ichi and Omiya" became a presence that captured the hearts of the people as if he were a real person. The "Kan'ichi and Omiya Statue" and "Omiya pine tree" are located along the national highway on the coast and are visited by many people as tourist photo spots. Every year on January 17 (Kanichi Omiya, Crying Farewell Day), the "Ozaki Autumn Leaves Festival" is held at this place. 【Statue of Kanichi Palace】 Production: Hirosei Tateno Erected by the Rotary Club of Atami (January 22, 1985) Owned by Atami City (January 17, 1986 (Showa 61): Received "Autumn Leaves Festival") 【The golden demon Monument】 Monument / August 15, 1919 (Taisho 8) "Autumn Leaf Sanjin Memorial The golden demon Monument Behind the Shadow of the Palace, Spring Moon Wind Leaves" * This phrase is the work of Oguri Fuha, the monjin of autumn leaves. 『Blue bird』

With the hope that the blue bird will bring happiness.

Washi art carefully finished one by one from washi paper, pulp art blade lamps were made.
The stand was designed in the image of a bird's toe.

It is designed for indirect lighting that glows LEDs with batteries, and it is very beautiful when lit in a room at night.
The light through the washi paper envelops the space with soft light.

We are exhibiting at the "Merry Christmas" exhibition at ARTS RUSH, Gallery ARTS RUSH in Daikanyama, Tokyo, which started today.

Art Rush is an art gallery that can be walked from Daikanyama Station and Ebisu Station in about 5 to 6 minutes, where you can enjoy the works of unique artists.
Please feel free to carry it when you come nearby.

Wow I looked this place up and it's amazing! I'm surprised it doesn't seem as popular as other flower parks but it has some really beautiful scenery. There's a ton of different gardens all with different themes as well. Spring is coming soon so it's something to keep in mind I suppose! I've never heard of Tasha Tudor either but I'm curious to see what kind of picture books she wrote know. I love that Japan has a lot of these types of themed attractions so you can not only enjoy the location itself but also the history behind it or the history that it is brings to life. Hopefully I can get out to Gifu this spring/summer. The place is called "Flower Festival Commemorative Park" for anyone wondering.

The garden of American picture book author Tasha Tudor.

It's not Japan, it's America! It seems to be plunged in,
"Tasha's garden was reproduced with flowers in the Japan."
In a way, it may be the personality of Japan ...
