Tanuki's cherry blossom viewing 🌸 I went to Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture. Tanuki at Shigaraki Station on the railway! It looks like you are leisurely looking at the cherry blossoms under the magnificent cherry blossoms. Wow! And the face when I looked up is cute ♡. There is also a museum and many Shigaraki ware shops nearby. This local pottery, "Shigaraki ware", which has been blessed with high-quality soil since ancient times and has excelled at making large vessels, was ✨ impressive just by looking at it. Some are from the Kamakura period, Even the ones that make you feel the newness of modern craftsmen are a good stimulus. I liked ♡ the elegant black shiny vessel with gold mixed with glaze. Next time I go, I would like to book a potter's wheel experience and try something new.

Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce a post by "Hideki Takeuchi". The cherry blossom blizzard is a fantastic photo. Tenson Shrine is an ancient shrine related to Emperor Kanmu, the 50th emperor of Japan in Japan. It is also famous for the annual festival "Otsu Festival", which is designated as an intangible folk cultural property of Shiga Prefecture. It enshrines the four pillar deities, and it is said to be beneficial for marriage and luck. In addition, Tenson Shrine accepts Suzuo offerings when exorcising evil. The red seal is characterized by a diamond-shaped mark, so how about commemorating your visit? During the cherry blossom season, the view of cherry blossoms in full bloom from the Omoemon torii gate to the precincts is superb. A popular photo spot is the angle of the cherry blossoms that bloom over the Maiden and Maiden. In addition, in 2023, reservations are required, but the cherry blossoms will be lit up at night, and you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing in a fantastic atmosphere different from the daytime. Please check the official website for reservation details. On April 1, 2023 (light rain), the "Cherry Blossom Festival Concert" will be held, where events such as mini bazaars and street performances will be held. You can enjoy concerts on the stage, including Japanese taiko drums. ◆Tenson Shrine◆ 【Address】〒520‐0044 Shiga-ken, Otsu-shi, Kyomachi 3-3-36 【Access】 JR Tokaido Main Line 8 minutes walk from Otsu Station 【Parking lot】Available (charged)

Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce Taka's post "Shirahige Shrine in Shiga Prefecture". The torii gate with the sunset in the background, the vast lake and the sky are fantastic. Shirahige Shrine, located in Lake Biwa in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, Kansai region, has been recognized as a Japan heritage site as a constituent cultural property of "Lake Biwa and its Waterside Landscape - Water Heritage of Prayer and Living". With a history of more than 2,000 years since its foundation, it is the oldest shrine in Omi. The goddess of the shrine was Sarutahiko no Mikoto, and it is said that the origin of the company's name was that Sarutahiko had white hair and a white demon. The benefits of Shirahige Shrine are wide-ranging, such as life extension and longevity, good luck, and matchmaking, and are believed to be the god of guidance and paving. The "Konaka Otorii Gate" floating on the lake is a hot topic for taking photogenic photos. On Saturdays, Sundays, and the year-end and New Year holidays, it is lit up and you can enjoy a superb view with a different atmosphere from the daytime. We also recommend the "Nishiomi Seven Lucky God Tour" where you can enjoy the treasure seals (red seals) of the seven gods of fortune scattered throughout Takashima City on special colored paper. There are two types of red seals of Shirahige Shrine, and you can receive the red seal of the regular and the Nishiomi Seven Lucky Gods Tour "Jurojin". ◆Shirahige Shrine◆ 【Address】〒520-1122 Shiga Prefecture Takashima City Unogawa 215 【Access】 【Car】 ・From Kyoto and Osaka From Kyoto Higashi IC, take Kosai Road / National Route 161 north 40 km ・From Tokyo and Nagoya Take Maibara JC to Hokuriku Expressway, and from Kinomoto IC, take National Routes 8, 303, and 161 south, 45 km 【Train】 From Kyoto Station, take the JR Kosei Line - Get off at Omi-Takashima Station for about 40 minutes (New Rapid) About 3 kilometers from Omitakashima Station, 40 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by taxi --------------------- ★ The 14th COOL JAPAN VIDEOS Photo Contest is currently being held with the theme of "Superb Photography of the Japan"! Shiga Prefecture's "Shirahige Shrine"
As the sun went down, I felt very strange at the sunset and the torii gate floating on the lake. I was deeply moved that there is such a fantastic thing in Shiga Prefecture.

Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! Today's inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video" pickup post Here is a post by "HIKARINOATORIE". Metasequoia trees in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture The symmetrical rows of autumn leaves are a superb view and an impressive photo. A row of metasequoia trees stretches for about 2.4 km from the agricultural park Makino Pick Land to the Makino Plateau. About 500 cypress metasequoias are planted on both sides of the road, and it is a popular tourist spot that has been selected as one of the 100 New Japan Street Tree Views. Metasequoia trees have many attractions throughout the four seasons, such as budding and fresh green in spring, deep green in summer, autumn leaves, and bare trees and snow flowers in winter, but the autumn leaves, which are said to be the best season, have been selected as one of the "100 best spots for Japan autumn leaves". The best time to see them is from early November to late November. It is beautiful to watch from inside the car, but it is also recommended to walk and enjoy it slowly. There is also a "Namiki Cafe" nearby where you can overlook the Metasequoia Avenue, so why not use it for a break? Access is a 20-minute taxi ride from Makino Station on the JR Kosei Line, or just get off at Makino Pick Land Bus Stop on the Makinohara Kogen City Line. If you are arriving by car, you can park the free parking lot at "Makino Pick Land".

This is the first time I have seen splashed ice at Lake Biwa Konan in more than half a century since I was born and raised in this area. North Lake belongs to the subarctic zone, so it is said to be a winter tradition, but it is a phenomenon that rarely occurs in South Lake, which belongs to the temperate zone, and when I happened to pass by by car, I thought that plastic bags washed ashore endlessly on the shore, but when I got closer, it was ice, so I took a picture because it was rare. The cameramen, who I had seen on the TV news the day before, set up countless tents on the shore of the cold lake from all over the country to aim for good early morning conditions. The mountain in the center of the opposite bank is Mt. Hiei, where the World Heritage Enryakuji Temple is located.
