The other day around mid-April, I photographed the flowers of the otome camellia otome tsubaki in the Mt. Rokko of Kobe. This Mt. Rokko area has been designated as the Setonaikai National Park and has been a suitable place for recreation and summer retreat since the Meiji era. Mountain villas and recreation centers have been built here and there in the mountains, and there are sightseeing spots such as Rokko Ranch, which is inspired by a mountain ranch in Switzerland, and Arima Onsen, which is counted as one of the three famous springs of pillow grass. The mountains opened by foreigners in the Kobe Settlement have many katakana names such as Cascade Valley a valley of many small waterfalls and Twenty Cross 20 mountain trails, recalling the history of foreigners opening the mountain. By the way, this time the otome camellia was taken at the place of the Japanese name, Otter Pond in Viper Valley. Aside from the Mt. Rokko area where many names from the Edo period remain, such as the Shojo Pond introduced here last year, Otter Pond is ... I wonder if the pond used to be full of otters, and I still look around for signs. The camellia blooming season is almost over, but now the azalea flowers are brightly colored all over the driveway. Animals and plants are rich in nature, Mt. Rokko how about 😊 hiking?

I want to visit Ako Misaki in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture. Before summer, the coast is calm and the sea water is beautiful. On a sunny day, the Harima Sea is sparkling. There are few visitors, and when I sit on the quiet sand and listen to the sound of the waves, the unpleasant things in my heart disappear.

Mii-dera Temple, famous for its Brahma bell, which is said to have been scratched by Musashibo Benkei dragging it to Mt. Hiei, and Lake Biwa Canal, which is connected to Kyoto by a tunnel, are dyed with cherry blossoms in spring. If you walk along the watershed from the Keihan train station, you can reach Miidera in 10 minutes.

The sunset in Osaka Bay is beautiful. At the southern end of Tempozan Harbor Village, beyond this is Osaka Bay. It is a popular spot for people who come to see the sunset over Osaka Bay.

Swimming, fishing, fireworks, and barbecues are prohibited. It is the Goshikizuka Kofun in Kobe. It is the largest anterior and posterior burial mound in Hyogo Prefecture. You can climb to the top of the burial mound, and from there you can see Awaji Island and the Akashi Strait. It is a superb view.

It is Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine in Wakayama. I visited in the moon of light rain, and the forest behind the large shrine was hazy and majestic and beautiful.

My today's recommendation: Kurashiki in Okayama Prefecture. Historical canal town kurashiki . Kurashiki Bikan historical area is also known as "town of storehouses" and many of the storehouses are converted into a restaurant/ cafe or museum. Here you can enjoy canal boat riding to feel the old days charm.
