[English/Japanese] The other day I bought a French pastry called Galette des Rois at Patisserie Tatsuya Sasaki, just a four-minute walk from Nishi Hachioji! It is well known in France as the cake eaten on January 6. The cake is not only delicious but also fun, since a small ceramic figurine is hidden inside and whoever finds it becomes king. What do you do for the New Year in your country? Most of our international students celebrate their New Year in February or April! They enjoy lively times, eating traditional foods from their countries and taking part in festivals. When a new year begins, you feel refreshed 😊 We wish you all a happy new year! [Englsih/日本語] Stopped by Cerian, a confectionery shop a minute's walk from the school, and found the now rare "raccoon dog cake! I didn't hesitate to buy it 😊"Tanuki Cake" is a raccoon-shaped cake that became popular about 40 years ago, and it is even said to be an endangered species, as there are fewer and fewer stores making this cake these days. I was very impressed by how carefully the raccoon's face was made. The taste was very sweet, and my fatigue flew away ✨ When I stopped by Cerian, a western-style pastry shop one minute on foot from the school, I found the now-rare "tanuki cake"! Speaking of winter, Christmas 🎄 Santa came to our house and the children had 😄❤️ a great time. The night was lively with Christmas cake, and my nephew, 4 years old, was trying 📷 to put out the fire by lighting a candle on his cake 🎂. At the dining room of my home Shimane Prefecture. It seems 😄 that he was very satisfied with eating the strawberries 🍓 of my cake Christmas is an event 🎄✨✨ that makes everyone happy
