Tomakomai City's unexplored area "Shichijo Otaki"

Shichijo Otaki is located in the national forest of the Maruyama district near the border between Tomakomai City and Chitose City, and is a spot where you can see a large waterfall 16m high and about 2.3m wide up close!

Shichijo Otaki, with its deep green trees and majestic waterfall, is a spectacular view.

In order to enter the national forest where Shichijo Otaki is located, you need an application for approval from the Eastern Iburi Forest Management Office, so please check with the Eastern Iburi Forest Management Office below for details.

【Kuroiwa Falls】 Of the three waterfalls we introduced, only the last one remains. This time it’s Kuroiwa Falls, where the rocks aren’t red. It’s quite a distance from the main road, but once you reach Akaiwa Falls, you’re almost there. From the parking area you walk a short way to the plunge pool, and since there are few steep climbs, it’s a pleasant stroll for most visitors. You cross a small stream and push through the grass as you go. The rock color differs here, and the waterfall’s shape is somewhat different from the other two, making it well worth seeing. If you sit quietly listening to the water, hours can pass in an instant, but we didn’t linger long—about ten minutes—because of the chance of encountering bears. If waterfalls pique your interest, why not visit before it gets too cold? Please take care with your footing.

Akaiwa Falls Following Gyōja Falls, which I introduced last time, I present Akaiwa Falls, known for its brick-colored riverbed! You reach Gyōja Falls quickly, but beyond that, the path to Akaiwa Falls plunges through a densely overgrown mountain trail. Just when you start to wonder if you are still on the right path, you should find a parking area. From the parking area to Akaiwa Falls, it’s about a five-minute walk down to the plunge pool. The walk down is easy, but the climb back up can be a bit taxing on adults who lack exercise. When you arrive at the plunge pool, the contrast of red and green is beautifully striking. It’s lovely to gaze at the falls, but if you look up at the trees surrounding the cascade, you’ll feel refreshingly uplifted. When you visit, please wear footwear that can get dirty and won’t slip, such as rubber boots, rather than fashionable shoes.

Three Waterfalls in Nishiokoppe Village The other day I visited one of Nishiokoppe Village’s sightseeing spots —Gyōja Falls, Akaiwa Falls, and Kuroiwa Falls. This time I’m writing about Gyōja Falls! From National Route 239 you turn onto a mountain road and the first waterfall you come to is Gyōja Falls. When I got out of the car in front of a stone plaque with some explanation on it, I could hear the cool sound of the falls! On a certain day in August, unable to bear the heat, there was said to be an adult who stood under Gyōja Falls in a T-shirt and shorts—whether true or not is another story. Next time I will introduce Akaiwa Falls.

Introducing the post of the official account of "NPO Ashoro Tourism Association"! Ashoro is a town full of nature located in the northeastern part of Tokachi. Lake Onneto is a popular tourist attraction in Ashoro. In addition, about 1.5 km walk from the Lake Onneto, Onneto Yunotaki Falls Lake Onneto Yunotaki was previously used as a secret hot spring. It is also designated as a national natural monument because it is a valuable place where manganese deposits are formed on the seabed and their effects can be confirmed on the ground. ◆Onneto Yunotaki Falls◆ 【Address】Hokkaido Ashoro Shigeru Ashoro National Forest 【Tel】0156-25-2141 Forestry, Commerce and Tourism Office, Ashoro Economic Division 【Access】 From JR Kushiro Station, take the Akan Bus bound for Akanko Bus Terminal→ get off at the last stop, about 20 minutes by car about 2 hours 20 minutes in total

I wanted to visit "Ogawa Falls" in Minamiosumi Town, Kagoshima Prefecture once. The road to the destination is well maintained, and a beautiful river is already flowing from the hassle. When you arrive, you will see a crystal clear emerald green waterfall that will take your breath away. I thought it was a process, but even when I saw it raw, it was this color. When I went, it was a great day to shoot. It seems that if it is sunny, the amount of water is not small and the color does not develop beautifully, and if it is cloudy, the light does not enter well and it does not turn the original emerald color. If it rained the day before, it would be cloudy. The best photo opportunity is when various conditions overlap! By the way, it seems that a sunny day after a few days ago was rainy! It was a wonderful waterfall worth seeing.

Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce Mr. Bashi's post "Nabegataki Falls, Kumamoto Prefecture". The icicle curtains and the snowy landscape are impressive. Nabegataki Nabegataki Falls is a waterfall with a drop of about 10 meters and a width of about 20 meters located in Nabegataki Park in Oguni Town, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. It is said to have been formed during a huge eruption about 90,000 years ago, and due to its mysterious scenery, it is a popular spot that has been used as a commercial and filming location. Nabegataki Park requires advance reservations, so reservations are required before visiting. Reservations can only be made online, not by phone. It takes about 5 minutes on foot from Nabegataki Park to Nabegataki Falls. Arrive by walking slowly along the well-maintained road. Women and children can also visit with peace of mind. Nabegataki Falls can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons. In spring and autumn, light-up events are held for a limited time, and many tourists visit. In summer, you can enjoy the moss and waterfalls, and in winter, the huge icicle curtains created by the frozen waterfall are a must-see. ◆Nabegataki Falls◆ 【Address】〒869-2502 Kumamoto Prefecture, Aso-gun, Oguni Town, Kurobuchi 【Tel】0967-46-2113 【Access】 From roadside station Oguni Yu Station, 10 minutes by car or taxi 【Parking lot】Available Please check the official website for details.
