I visited the famous Toohoku peak MtAdatara (1,700 m).
I took the ropeway from Okudake Trailhead to Summit Station, passed MtYakushi (1,322 m), and reached the summit of MtAdatara. Then I was moved by the stark volcanic landscape of the explosion crater (Numanodaira Crater), continued to Mount Yahazu (1,673 m), and enjoyed the autumn colors painting the slopes of MtTetsu (1,709 m).

I visited Mt. Kurikoma (elevation 1,626 m), the celebrated Tohoku peak praised as the "carpet of the gods."
At the temporary shuttle bus stop, Kurihara City staff warned that "bears have been appearing on the trail for four consecutive days!" and, ringing bear bells loudly, we made the ascent.
By the grace of the gods, we encountered no bears and were treated to truly stunning autumn foliage. Thank you.

Nobeyama Highlands Today
This morning the lowest temperature at Nobeyama Highlands was -7.0°C, the third coldest in the country.
The sky has been clear since dawn, showcasing full Yatsugatake blue. Yatsugatake received its first snowfall of the season over this three-day weekend.
The maple trees in front of Nobeyama Station are in peak autumn color, and along Route 141 through the village the yellow foliage is at its height.

Divine glow ✨

On the way back from photographing Shirataki Falls, the pampas grass lit by sunlight looked divine, so I took a picture 📷

You can see gleaming pampas grass around town right now 👀

The temperature swings between morning and evening have deepened the autumn colors 🍁

Peak foliage may still be a little way off, but you can already feel the autumn scenery and breeze beyond the leaves 🌰

Outbound because it was autumn, I went to see the Autumn leaves.
I like this season when the surroundings are brightly colored.

It is one of Oita Prefecture’s representative spots for autumn colors.
The trees are still mostly green overall. The Yusaku Tourism Momiji Festival begins on November 3. During the festival, kusa-mochi (grass rice cakes) and other items are sold.

1. The Nursing-Rooting Giant Ginkgo of Mt. Kamitakano 🍁
[Address] Takano-cho, Shinichi, Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture
[Highlights] This giant ginkgo stands in the precincts of Tenman Shrine, with a trunk circumference at chest height of 9.6 meters, ranking first in the prefecture. It is said to have been planted as a sacred tree when Takemikazuchi-no-kami was enshrined here in the first year of Tenpyo (729). Aerial roots called "breasts" hang down from the main trunk, and it is designated as a prefectural natural monument. ※Please note that conditions may vary depending on the weather.

Taiki Town Autumn Foliage Update

A maple tree near the gazebo in Hakurin Park is turning brilliant shades, creating a beautiful gradient of color 🍁
The rest of the park is expected to reach peak fall color a little later.

I want to enter a photo contest and this is my first posted!

Oishi Park on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi is the best time to visit kochia, so I went to Yamanashi Prefecture.
On this day, there was a time when the moon did not rise, so I thought that I would Squid to take a picture with the starry sky, but unfortunately it was forecast to be cloudy on the day.
After slowly taking a dip in the Hot Spring with a disappointing feeling, I suddenly went outside and looked up at the sky, and it was sunny!
I suppressed my feeling of impatience and headed to Oishi Park by Car and was able to take a picture.
The contrast between the cap clouds over Mt. Mount Fuji, the clouds reflected by the town lights, and the pleasant starry sky creates a good atmosphere, and as a result, it became a very favorite piece of the seasonal scenery and coincidence.

The number of days with cool air has suddenly increased
Okuyamanashi is Yakawa.
I was wary that there would still be hot days.
However, on this day, we stayed at Akazawa Inn, which is at a high elevation.
Near dusk, the temperature plummets,
The signs of autumn seemed to creep up from under my feet.

We will present the "Kikuchi Gorge Light-Up".

At Kikuchi Gorge, a signature sightseeing spot in Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, we will illuminate the gorge at night.
From the Kikuchi Gorge tollgate area, we will light up locations such as Reimei Falls, Momijigase, and Ryugafuchi.
This marks the fourth Kikuchi Gorge Light-Up.
We invite you into an extraordinary night at Kikuchi Gorge, normally closed to visitors after dark, with lights, illumination displays, and bamboo lanterns.


Event dates: Friday, October 31st to Sunday, November 9th, Reiwa 7 (2025).

Hōshōji in Kiyokawa, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, will feature a light-up display.
Hōshōji is a venerable temple with over 800 years of history.
Known as “Aya no Hōshōji” or “Hōshōji in Autumn,” the temple erupts in vivid colors during the maple season.
During the event, local residents will illuminate the temple, enchanting visitors with a dreamlike atmosphere.
