🌸 Akebono Azalea 🌸 The azalea 🌸 blooms from mid-April and can be enjoyed until early May at the longest. It is a very large deciduous broad-leaved tree of the genus Azalea of the family Azaleaceae and is found on rocky cliffs in high mountains above 1000 m. The most early blooming among high mountain azaleas. It grows wild in clusters near the Morotsukayama West Trailhead, and the scenery of colorful pink flowers blooming in the mountains in Spring is a superb view ✨ The Akebono Azalea Cluster of trees on Mt. Morotsuka is about 5 minutes up the hill from the Torii (shrine gate) ⛩️ gate at the west trailhead. Appreciation is easy without authentic mountain climbing, so many people from all over Kyushu visit to see this nature 🍃. Morotsukayama's azaleas are about to reach their Best time to visit! 〈Three ways to enjoy the Ezo spruce forest〉 While taking a walk, sometimes you can get close to the tree, or pull back to look at it... If you use not only sight but also hearing, smell, and touch, you will make a series of unexpected discoveries! You can also feel the changes of the seasons, and walking in the forest becomes even more enjoyable. Behind the Kawayu Visitor Center, there are Thereare two walking paths centered on a natural forest of Ezo spruce. This time, we have created a part of the "Ezo spruce forest guidebook" lined up at the Kawayu Visitor Center. Firefly season has arrived again this year. Kikuchi City is a famous landmarks for fireflies called "No.1 in Japan's best firefly village". It can be seen in the Oyster River and Watase River basins in the Kyokushi district of Kikuchi City. The number of places where you can see fireflies in Japan is decreasing year by year. Fireflies can live not only in places where water is clean. The calmness of the water current, the presence of sand or leki (particles larger than sand) at the bottom of the water, the surrounding light, the surrounding quietness, habitats such as Kawanina. Favorite such a limited place. As global environmental problems become more serious, the number of places where fireflies can live is decreasing. Meanwhile, you can see Many fireflies in Kikuchi City. Fireflies grow in the larval stage, storing food in water for one year. Then it becomes a sanagi and becomes an adult. The lifespan after becoming an adult insect is about 2 weeks. In other words, out of 365 days of the year, there are only two weeks of Appreciation of fireflies. In addition, fireflies do not feed when they become adults. When they become adults, they do not eat anything and end their lives. The fireflies we see are the lives of fireflies that end in the blink of an eye. The reason why we can see fireflies every year is that even in such a short lifetime, they are firmly connected to the next life. I am very happy to be able to see fireflies in Kikuchi City again this year. Please come to Kikuchi City to see the fireflies. Best time to see □ ・ Nikarai River ... Mid May ・Watase River... Mid-May ~ Late May □ viewing area ・Kikuchi City Kyokushi Ohara (Ohara District) ・Kikuchi City Kyokushi Foothills (Takayanagi District) □ Car parking lot... Car parking lots in each area ・Ohara area Car parking lot (200 yen only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) (May 11 ~ early June) ・Takayanagi area Car parking lot (free) (May 17 ~ early June) About □ viewing etiquette Do not point flashlights or lights at fireflies. → fireflies do not like strong light. If you shine a light on a mobile phone or turn on a flash, it may be hidden. It can also be a nuisance to other visitors. ・Do not make loud voices or noises. Not only do → fireflies run away, but they also cause trouble for neighbors. Please be aware that it will be viewed at night. ・ Do not catch it unnecessarily and take it home → fireflies become adults and can fly for only 1~2 weeks. Enjoy living in Nature. ・Take your trash home with you. → fireflies live in clean environments. Nature, let's protect the beautiful natural environment together. ・Protect traffic Roux → will be Held in at night. Please be careful not to jump out onto the road. At the same time, there are There are sections around the viewing area where traffic is restricted during the viewing period. Shark Scramble 🦈 You can go on a day trip! Shark swimming adventure in Tateyama, Chiba The other day, members of Hokule'a Shonan went to 🫧 "Shark's Scramble" in Tateyama, Chiba As the name suggests, it is a very impressive dive site with many sharks coming and going in front of you! On this day, guests from overseas also participated 🇯🇵 "I can't believe I can swim with sharks in Japan!" and I was very 😊 impressed by the impression The point is the diving Spot "Ito" in Tateyama. Here, you can observe the sharks that gather in search of food and swim around in front of you. Encounters with a wide variety of creatures such as tiger sharks, spiders, and rays are attractive, and it is a popular sea with many repeaters as well as first-time visit. And if Hokule'a Shonan ... Diving to Tateyama is also OK for a day trip! Some people may think, "Isn't Chiba far from Kanagawa?" We will guide you by Car from JR Hiratsuka Station and can also accommodate pick-up at stations along the way. Therefore, it is a big attraction 🚗💨 that you can easily participate even from the Tokyo and Kanagawa areas Some people are worried, "Aren't sharks dangerous?" Rest assured that the sharks here are accustomed to people and are not of an aggressive kind. After thorough safety management, we support even beginners so that they can enjoy it with peace of mind! "I want to swim with sharks someday!" Such a dream comes true with this Shark Scramble in Ito. Why don't you experience the power and mystery of the sea world together? 😊 📍 Held in by request!
