Fresh green season has arrived 🌳 This is the row of white birch trees at Tokachi Ranch. The observatory, closed during winter, has reopened and offers sweeping views of the vast landscape. I could even spot cows grazing in the distance 🐄

The morning sun shines from the fresh green of spring... Mt. Rokko in Kobe has been redressed! !! The photo is a morning scene taken near the ridge of the Omote Rokko Driveway in mid-April. I climbed the hill on a road bike, but it was a pleasant cycling that felt moderately sweaty I climbed slowly. Mt. Rokko was opened as a leisure mountain by foreigners in the Meiji era, and Arthur Herkes Groom, who built the first mountain villa, is called the "founder of Mt. Rokko." The first mountain villa was built at a place called Mikuni Pond after climbing the driveway in the photo to the ridge. From there, foreigners and Japan people built mountain villas one after another, forming a village. It seems that there are no mountain villas left from that time now, but you can still see many recreation centers of various companies in the vicinity. Even if you actually climb on a road bike, you can meet foxes, raccoons, woodpeckers, squirrels, moles and monkeys, and you can feel that you have come to nature in a different world from the city. Today was nice and warm today, I even opened the window for a bit and let the breeze roll in. Hoping it continues like this although apparently Saturday it's supposed to rain. I'm looking forward to getting out this spring and enjoying riding some bicycles myself. The cherry blossoms should start blooming nicely in Tokyo next week so that's something nice to look forward to as well! I'll have to look for some good parks to ride in. There's a bike rental down the road from where I live and it's really cheap which is nice so hopefully I can make use of it. That or I'll just head out further into the countryside lol. Either way, looking forward to spring!
