This is the Kasuga Grand Shrine in Nara.
The color contrast between the vermilion middle gate and the seasonal flowers and wisteria was beautiful.

Introducing photos post "Everyone's post"! Inbound tourist information social media "COOL JAPAN VIDEOS" pickup post. Today, I would like to introduce the post of Mr. Masayuki Miyashita. It's a photo that captures the magnificent view of spring. The Fujiwara Palace Ruins, located in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture, are Japan's first metropolitan castles built during the Asuka period, following the metropolitan castle system of China (Chang'an of the Tang Dynasty). It is also a popular spot where you can enjoy the nature of the four seasons. In spring, about 2.5 million rape blossoms spread all over the area, and if the timing is right, you can enjoy a splendid view along with the cherry blossoms blooming around you. The best time to see rape blossoms is usually around late March ~ early April. As of March 24, 2023, rape blossoms are in full bloom and the collaboration with cherry blossoms is a must-see. You can enjoy the orange Kibana cosmos in the summer and about 3 million cosmos in the fall. One of the highlights is the 11 kinds of lotuses that bloom around July. In June 2011, the view of the ridgeline of the Yamato Three Mountains from the Fujiwara-no-miya ruins was designated as an "Important Scenic View". There are plenty of lunch spots around the Fujiwara-no-miya ruins. The renovated kominka "Unomachi Coffee Nara Store" is a book café characterized by the atmosphere of a machiya. Seasonal parfaits are a popular menu both in appearance and taste. "Farmers CAFE & GRILL Nara Shokudo -leaves-", which is attractive for lunch using Nara ingredients, also recommends the "Nara beef lunch steak" menu only on Saturdays and Sundays. Why don't you stop by for a break from your stroll? ◆Fujiwara-no-miya Ruins◆ 【Address】〒634-0072 Daigo-cho, Kashihara-shi, Nara 【Access】 Kintetsu: About 30 minutes on foot from Mitonari Station JR: About 30 minutes on foot from Uneba Station 【Parking lot】Temporary parking lot available according to flowering season

Introducing the photos posted on "Minna no Post"! This is a pickup post on the inbound tourism information SNS "COOL JAPAN VIDEOS". Today, I would like to introduce Ikumi's post "Ukimido and cherry blossoms in Nara Park". The view of the cherry blossoms in full bloom and the sunset is one of the superb views. Nara Park, located in Nara City, Nara Prefecture, is an urban park located in the east of Nara City and designated as a National Place of Scenic Beauty. It has a total area of about 502 hectares, and the park is dotted with Todaiji Temple, Kofukuji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, National Museum, etc. It is a popular tourist destination with many tourists from Japan and abroad. Perhaps the most famous attraction in Nara Park is the approximately 1,300 deer roaming freely. The deer in Nara Park are wild animals that are designated as national natural monuments. It is possible to feed only deer crackers sold nearby. It is important to observe rules and safety. In spring, it is a famous place for cherry blossoms that has been selected as one of the top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots. You can enjoy various cherry blossoms such as Somei Yoshino, Higanzakura, Yamazakura, and Narakokonoezakura. The best time to see them is from March to early May. In recent years, the beautiful scenery of cherry blossoms and deer has become a hot topic on SNS for being like a peachy town. There are plenty of restaurants in the area where you can have a delicious lunch. You can enjoy delicious dishes unique to Nara such as the long-established Yoshino Honkazu Tengokudo and Chagayu Tower Teahouse. ◆Nara Park◆ 【Address】〒630-8212 Kasugano-cho, Nara City 【Access】 About 8 minutes on foot from Kintetsu Nara Station 【Parking lot】Available (Please check the official website for details.) )

Todaiji Temple I visited Nara Park on a family trip. It was my first time to go during the cherry blossom season and I was able to enjoy the cherry blossoms in full bloom. The collaboration between Nara's wonderful cherry blossoms and deer, which are said to be messengers of the gods, is sacred and seems to reflect the four seasons of Japan even more wonderfully. Nara Park and Todaiji Temple, which show various expressions in each season, are really recommended sightseeing spots.

Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce "chibiphoto" post "Dawn of Mount Yoshino in Nara Prefecture". The foggy and Japan scenery is impressive. Mount Yoshino (吉野山, Yoshinoyama) is a general term for mountain ridges that stretch for about 8 km at the northern end of the Omine mountain range in Yoshino Town, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture, Japan. The entire mountain has been certified as a World Heritage Site as "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range". In spring, about 30,000 cherry trees color Mt. Yoshino, and it is also famous as a famous place for cherry blossoms. The best time to see it is from early to late April. You can enjoy rhododendrons and hydrangeas in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and the beautiful scenery of the silver world in winter, making it a popular tourist destination throughout the four seasons. Japan oldest ropeway, the Yoshino Ropeway (Yoshinoyama Cable), is also one of the attractions. It is also recommended as a view spot for cherry blossoms and maples. There are plenty of activities around Mt. Yoshino. At Kardia Campsite, you can experience rafting and canoeing, and you can stay overnight with your pet in the bungalow. At Cottage Izumoto, where cottages are lined up along the river, you can enjoy fishing and playing in the river. The large cottage is perfect for family trips. ◆Mount Yoshino◆ 【Address】〒639-3115 Nara-ken, Yoshino-gun, Yoshino-cho, Yoshinoyama 【Access】Kintetsu Yoshino Station Ropeway Yama Upper and Lower Car Please check the official website for details. 【Parking lot】Available

Some more photos I took at Todaiji Temple. The first statue is of Vaisravana (多聞天/毘沙門天), another of the Four Heavenly Kings, holding a staff and some sort of small pagoda,. The second statue is Cintamanicakra (如意輪観音), a bodhisattva. The third photo is a (unfortunately poor quality) photo of Vairocana, the Cosmic Buddha from my understanding. The rest of the photos are models of Todaiji's Great Buddha Hall from 800 and 300 years ago, and Nandai-mon, the Great South Gate. The pagoda is, from my understanding, a replica of one of the lost pagodas that used to be located at Todaiji Temple, but I believe was burnt down? I could be wrong about that though. Then last is a photo of the heads of Virudhaka (増長天)(left), and Dhrtarastra (持国天)(right), two of the Four Heavenly Kings. Lots of cool stuff to be seen at Todaiji! Definitely recommend it. My photos don't do it justice at all.

I found some photos of when I visited Todaiji Temple. I took a photo of the bronze lantern out front of the temple because I thought it looked really cool, but it's pretty crazy to think that the lantern is around 1,300 years old at this point. I also took some photos of a few of the statues inside the temple, the first being Akasagarbha (虚空蔵菩薩), one of the Eight Great Bodhisattva, and the second (which took me forever to find the name of...) being Virupaksa (広目天), one of the Four Heavenly Kings. I'm not sure what Virupaksa is made of but I think this statue is made of wood, although I could be wrong. It looks like a different material from the other statues inside the temple, although it's been quite a while since I visited and I can't recall exactly. All the statues are really awesome though. I'll have to upload some more photos later!
