(Bamboo shoot requires an increase in geothermal heat) After felling bamboo, the branches and leaves are removed and put through a crusher to make bamboo chips. Bamboo chips can be made into compost by sprinkling them on the ground. This improves the nutritional status of the soil, which leads to the production of more delicious Bamboo shoots.
