The Tateyama Fireworks Festival in Chiba was absolutely magical — even more spectacular this year!
The highlight? Definitely the underwater fireworks 🌊💫 — shimmering bursts that danced across the sea’s surface like something out of a dream.

My favorite moment was watching the golden willow-shaped fireworks drift gently down, like glowing branches swaying in the breeze… truly breathtaking.

And of course, no festival is complete without tasty treats — the butter-fried potatoes were crispy, golden, and totally addictive 🥔😋

Huge thanks to the amazing staff and organizers for making this unforgettable night possible. Already counting down the days until next year!

Have you heard of Natsumōde?
While the slow, lingering summer heat has its own charm, Natsumōde offers a chance to avoid the midday heat and instead enjoy the cool evening air, the quiet atmosphere, and the magical scenery of the shrine at night.
This summer, Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya will once again host this special evening event.
During the festival period, the shrine grounds will be beautifully illuminated, and visitors can enjoy sacred kagura dances performed by shrine maidens, traditional bugaku court dances by local performers, music by the Shimosuwa Kōyō High School brass band, and live Tsugaru shamisen performances.

This is a low-angle night view photo taken from the front of Tokyo Tower.
I took a long exposure of 20 seconds so that the lights and brake lights of the cars could leave a beautiful afterimage.
The lens is Z14-30f/4S. Since it is a wide angle, I was able to see the whole thing even from directly under the tower.

"Amakusa Reihoku Literature Walk" Sightseeing Walking Route Creation Workshop Held in 🎊 & Questionnaire Survey!

Last week, on July 23, a Workshop was held in ✨ to formulate a sightseeing walking route where you can enjoy the "Literary Treasures of Renbei" in order to make the Spots and heritage related to literature remaining in the town a new Tourist Resource
Nine people from outside the in the town who know the Locals well participated in the lively exchange of opinions.
It was a very valuable time to 👏 receive various ideas from the perspectives of participating students, local residents, and travel agents
The second Workshop will be held in on Thursday, August 21 at 1:30~3:30 p.m., so please join us 👀
* We are planning to recruit participants on our website in early August.

We are also looking for ideas and information from those who cannot participate in the workshop to formulate walking routes.
