In the relentless blaze of Osaka’s summer, golden sunflowers rise proudly along the station walkway with their vibrant faces turned skyward as if challenging the sun itself. But amid the shimmering heat, I admire how the gardeners move with quiet grace, their sweat-soaked dedication transforming this urban stretch into a radiant corridor of joy. Each bloom they nurture becomes a testament to their care, and in the midst of the season’s harshness, their work deserves every ounce of admiration—for they don’t just grow flowers, they cultivate joy.

The "Sunflower Field" next to Azumino Roadside Station Horigane Product Center The peak bloom has passed and the heads are bowed, but you can still enjoy it On hot days, why not try the soft-serve made with homemade jam of locally grown blueberries or summer–autumn strawberries, a popular choice at the center’s "Kaa-san’s Omusubi Shop" It’s a treat you’ll want to savor while looking out over the sunflower field *Photographed on August 15*

I can post about one of Nagano Prefecture’s top fireworks festivals again this year thanks to the businesses that sponsored the event, the fireworks artists, everyone who bought tickets, and the local people of the Suwa region! Thank you so much!! The event takes place in Suwa City every year on August 15. With help from the organizing committee, we received fireworks photos from the Suwa Lake Festival Fireworks over the Lake.🎆 Because Lake Suwa sits in a basin surrounded by mountains, the echoes and shockwaves are incredible! It’s an intensity you absolutely can’t experience anywhere else!!! If you’ve never been or have been curious, please come visit Lake Suwa next year✨ We look forward to seeing you!!! https://suwako-hanabi.com//

Nishiokoppe’s Test of Courage A night spent in costume isn’t just about the Bon Odori. In Nishiokoppe, the summer test of courage has recently become an annual tradition. During summer vacation, the children gather starting in the early afternoon for strategy meetings, making ghost costumes, a candy party, and bug hunting. This day also happened to be the day a traveling bookstore from Shimokawa visited. Pom overflowed with books and children. In the evening came the long-awaited watermelon-splitting game. When I was a child, many people used to give false directions so the watermelon wouldn’t get broken, but the children in Nishiokoppe guided us properly. After we finished eating, it was finally time to march around. The people playing ghosts took their positions, and the rest of us walked toward the elementary school and Forest Park. They were more funny-costume scare actors than truly scary ghosts. We strolled through the night town with a few laughs. Along the way, the owner of Yukimichi Bookshop told a frightening story, but people listening dwindled as the tale went on. I wonder how terrifying it really was. When it got chilly, we held a handheld firework finale before saying goodbye! There were so many fireworks everyone brought that people held them in both hands and tried lighting several sparklers at once. Adults rekindled their inner child, and it was a delightful night. Thanks to the kids who organized it!! Thanks also to the support from teens and adults. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Summer vacation #Test of courage #Summer night #Watermelon-splitting #Fireworks #Travelling Yukimichi Bookshop #August 18th

Summer Memories of Bungo-Ono, Oita Prefecture On August 14, the Kodai Torch Fire Festival took place in Ogata Town, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture. At 7:30 p.m., torches were lit all at once, and the lights of the torches prepared by the local community rose up in a dreamlike display across the area around Harajiri Falls and the Ogata rice fields. Flame sculptures made from torches that depict torii gates and stone bridges are also beautiful. Upstream from Harajiri Falls stands the stone Harajiri Bridge, and the sight of torches glowing on the stone bridge is very beautiful. ■■■ Access to central Bungoono City ■■■ About a 3-hour drive from JR Hakata Station in Fukuoka Prefecture About a 2-hour drive from JR Kumamoto Station in Kumamoto Prefecture About a 1 hour 20 minute drive from JR Beppu Station in Oita Prefecture About a 1 hour 20 minute drive from JR Yufuin Station in Oita Prefecture ■■■■■■■■■■■■ Tourism and recommended spots in Kyushu, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture ■■■■■■■■■■■■

"Summer wake watched over by Torii (shrine gate)" I wake up at 5 a.m. and rub my blurry eyes to see if I'm going for a walk. On the road in front of my house, I hear the sound of a motorcycle passing by with a roaring sound. At that moment Squid inside me – my soul echoes hotly. It's been about a year since I got my license. Make your favorite Super Cub 50-chan your buddy I've been to a lot of places. On this day I make a decision. The highest mileage in the past I'm going to repaint it. The best record was about 90 km to Chichibu But that's not enough. Go beyond your past self. Sightseeing spot with enthusiasm and excitement on the spot. According to GPT, it is about 120 km away. It seems that there is a Famous Sightseeing spot called Lake Ashi. Squid, isn't it? Because he is a high school student who has no friendships, Alone with emptiness, I hold the steering wheel. While panting in the blazing summer sun Finally, you arrive at your destination. The time is 11 a.m. The Hakone Shrine, which was crowded with tourists, It seems to be Famous for its Power spot. While witnessing the huge Torii (shrine gate), Squid somewhere good photo spot Carry the legs. The photo Spot I finally found is It was like an embankment of a fishing spot. When I hold the Z FC-chan that I recently bought and look for a subject It's reminiscent of a wonderfully squishy summer My eyes are attracted to the clouds. While putting a big Torii (shrine gate) as the subject of this When the shutter is pressed, A ship reminiscent of a pirate ship comes to us from the back. Finding the best position, this is the place to be This photo was taken at the right time. Feeling lonely, with Lake Ashi in the background On the way home. Return, because there was a sea nearby I stopped there. Sandy beaches and the sea as far as the eye can see. One set of families, I was playing with the sea. This is quite a hidden gem, and there are few people Overlooking the sandy beach. However, the temperature on this day was 37 degrees. In the midst of the hot gaze of Tendou-sama in the middle of summer I wonder if the desire for sea water will disappear. Held in the winning championship for the person who finds the roundest stone possible. I was the only participant, so I had a bye. You don't notice the waves that are approaching your feet crazy, and your shoes are waves I was drenched. Souvenirs of cobblestones and finally return home. The huge road is very congested. While wrestling with tiredness and drowsiness Finally to the end point. Aroma of the sea and sweat when I took off my shoes.

Shinda Falls Shinda Falls in Kyushu’s Oita Prefecture, located in Bungoono City, consists of the male waterfall on the main stream of the Ono River and the female waterfall on the Hirai River, a tributary. The male waterfall is about 100 meters wide and 20 meters high. The site is also famous for a visit by the Muromachi-period painter Sesshū, who created a work titled “Chinden Waterfall Painting” here. ■■■ Access to central Bungoono City ■■■ About a 3-hour drive from JR Hakata Station in Fukuoka Prefecture About a 2-hour drive from JR Kumamoto Station in Kumamoto Prefecture About a 1 hour 20 minute drive from JR Beppu Station in Oita Prefecture About a 1 hour 20 minute drive from JR Yufuin Station in Oita Prefecture ■■■■■■■■■■■■ Tourism and recommended spots in Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, Kyushu ■■■■■■■■■■■■

Photo taken at the Toyota Oiden Fireworks Festival. When I think of summer in Japan, I immediately associate it with fireworks. When I captured these fireworks on camera, I felt something special and artistic, different from the fireworks I had seen before. A single large flower blooms majestically and small fireworks such as green and blue. I'm sure this work would be possible without all these fireworks. Impression of the efforts and sense of the fireworks master so far.

Fun and Camping at Forest Park! Three Days During Obon At Forest Park, to mark the 100th anniversary of the village opening we ran an "Everything 100 Yen" campaign! Camping was 100 yen per night and every playground ride cost 100 yen per go! Hours were extended by two hours, so for three days visitors could play until 6:30 p.m. Go-karts kept racing nonstop, and the batting center never stopped sounding with hits. Because the event overlapped with Bon dance season, many people used the campground. On the third and final day of the 100-yen campaign, we also held a PET BOTTLE ROCKET event! Participants assembled PET BOTTLES into rockets, filled them with water, attached them to the launcher, pulled the trigger and launched them! Cheers rose as the rockets flew powerfully through the air. Even when water splashed on them, children squealed with delight and had a great time. Thank you for visiting Forest Park! The season is still ongoing. We look forward to your next visit! #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Forest Park #Summer #Everything 100 Yen #Play #Camping

Hiroshima Prefecture wind chime of Senko Temple in Onomichi City. Recently, wind chimes and tarako! Many famous landmarks can be seen on social media. Of course, I think it's good to aim for the Famous landmarks and enjoy the wind chime, but this time I and wind chime to a place I happened to stop at and took a picture there. Wind chimes know their existence by sound before they see their appearance. The moment you hear the sound, it invites elation and township that the wind chimes are there. I think it's summer in Japan that you can feel not only by watching but also by listening.
