At Hakojima Retarding Basin, cherry blossoms were in full bloom, spreading their branches wide by the pond, while rapeseed flowers bloomed at our feet. In the calm, windless moments, the spring scenery gently reflected on the water's surface, allowing us to feel both the tranquility and vibrancy unique to spring in Japan. The combination of the pale pink of the cherry blossoms and the vivid yellow of the rapeseed flowers was striking, inspiring me to capture the beauty of this season when nature awakens all at once.

After the storm, brilliant light pours into the clear blue sky, and I set out for one last cherry blossom viewing, embracing the spirit of Taisho Roman. The white, red, and Kanzan cherry blossoms are now in full bloom under the sunlight. Swaying in the light and wind, the vibrant purple blossoms shine brightly.

The Promise of Spring Every day during my business trip, I visited Kushida Shrine. The giant cherry tree, which stands as a symbol, is nearing the end of its spring display. Among the increasingly green trunk, the double-flowered cherry blossoms were sprouting. It felt as if I could hear a voice saying, "I'll be waiting here again next year." Thus, the seasons slowly change, but the cherry blossom period will surely return. Spring will continue to be passed down.

A fallen flower, illuminated as if by a spotlight in the shadows of the thicket, caught my eye with its elegant presence, prompting me to lift my camera.

"Spring, bursting forth in crimson" When we think of spring, we think of cherry blossoms, tulips, and rapeseed flowers. However, the true stars of this beautiful season are not limited to these. The Japanese maple, known as shōjō, turns a vibrant red in spring, then shifts to green in summer, and once again displays its autumn foliage. This stunning red is a hidden gem of spring. Flowers are planted all around Hakata, making the morning particularly refreshing. When I glanced over, I saw the dried leaves, holding rain, shimmering beautifully behind the tulips. Through the old lens, that light seemed to celebrate the arrival of spring.

"Weaving Rain with Cherry Blossoms" Seiunji Temple, the sacred place of weeping cherry trees. As I walk, overwhelmed by the magnificent weeping cherry blossoms, a sudden rain begins to fall. My gaze is drawn to a small shrine halfway up the mountain. The gentle rain nourishes the air, carrying the sweet scent of spring.

"The Collaboration of Two Great Cherry Blossoms" Chichibu is home to Hitsujiyama Park. Here, beautiful moss phlox bloom in late April. On this day, the cherry trees were in full bloom. However, I thought it might be a bit early for the moss phlox, only to find that the newly planted seedlings were thriving. I was able to capture both types of cherry blossoms in a single photograph.
