I stand quietly under the autumn tree, a lonely bicycle waiting for my rider’s return. Fallen leaves wrap around my tires like a rusty blanket, and I breathe in the gentle pause between journeys.

Yusaku Park autumn leaves ❚ Autumn foliage status as of November 20, 2025 Yusaku Park, located in Asaji Town, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture It is one of Oita Prefecture’s representative autumn leaf viewing spots. Overall, the foliage is about 70% along. The area around Shinji Pond should be at its peak this week. Areas farther from the pond are also progressing in color. You can enjoy a palette of green, yellow, and red leaves, which are beautiful. Some trees are already starting to shed leaves that flutter in the wind, but on sunny days the colors look especially vivid. Why not head out to Yusaku Park and be wrapped in autumn hues? During the Yosaku Tourism Momiji Festival, local residents sell kusa-mochi (grass rice cakes) and other treats. If you see them, try one while you can. The season of the sea of fog has arrived ✨ When you think of Miyoshi City in Hiroshima Prefecture, you can’t help but think of the sea of fog. As autumn deepens and mornings and evenings grow colder, this is truly the perfect time to see it. The whole town becomes wrapped in white mist, and a quiet moment passes as if you were above the clouds. To enjoy the sea of fog, start with the classic Mt. Takatani. From the observation deck you can watch the fog drift slowly as the morning sun gradually breaks through. One of its charms is how different it can look from day to day. If you prefer a relaxed view in nature, head to Okadayama. From the top of the mountain the fog spreads to the distant peaks, creating a calm, sea-like panorama. At Mount Tomishi, the contrast between the sea of fog and the ridgeline is striking. Depending on the day’s weather and the light, it reveals an entirely different face. The sea of fog is a special sight that appears only on mornings when the weather conditions align. That’s why the joy of encountering it is all the greater. Classic Car Festival Car Festa Miyazaki in Tsuno This classic car festival is held at Tsuno Winery every year on the fourth Sunday of November. Cool, cute, nostalgic — many precious classic cars from those days gather here. Although there are no stage performances at the venue, numerous food and craft stalls attract many car enthusiasts.
