COOL JAPAN VIDEOS Photo Contest PR
Nov. 22, 2022
Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce the post "Nagasaki Prefecture / Road Station Ikugetsu Bridge" by "HAYATO/Japan Scenery Photography and Superb Scenic Spots". It is a superb view that captures the large bridge illuminated by the setting sun and the sea. Located in Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture in the Kyushu region, Roadside Station Ikitsuki Ohashi Bridge is located in Ikutsuki Ohashi Park at the foot of the bridge, and is a roadside station with souvenirs, a multipurpose plaza, a walking path, and a tourist information center. The Ikugetsu Bridge connects Hirado Island and Ikutsuki Island. The light blue Ikugetsu Bridge and the superb view of the sea from the roadside station Ikugetsu Bridge are a must-see. The shop in the station building has a variety of chin flying fish dashi and chin kamaboko, sweets from local confectionery shops, and processed marine products. There is no food and beverage space in the restaurant, but the surrounding restaurants offer gourmet food made with local ingredients. Why don't you stop by the "Daiki area" of chin dashi ramen and "Hirado Seto Market Restaurant Seaside Cafe"? Roadside station Ikugetsu Bridge has plenty of toilets and parking lots, so it is recommended for staying in the car for a nap or rest. Due to the proximity of the sea, you need to be careful on bad days

Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is today's inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video" pick-up post. Here is a post by Daiki Miyashita. Tsunoshima Bridge in Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture The long bridge and the blue sea are one of the superb views. The Tsunoshima Bridge in Kitanagato Kaigan Quasi-National Park in Toyohoku-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, opened in 2000. With a total length of 1,780 meters, it was the longest bridge in Japan when it opened. The superb view of the cobalt blue sea and Amagase was used as a commercial and filming location, and became a hot topic. It is also popular on SNS as a scenic photo spot. Tsunoshima, which floats in the northwest, is an island with a population of about 900 people with white beaches and emerald green waters. There are beaches, camping, lighthouses, etc., and it is a popular spot for tourists. In addition, the nearby "Hotel Nishi-Nagato Resort" offers ocean view rooms and a view of the Tsunoshima Bridge, so it is recommended to enjoy it together with the drive. 【Access】 ▼Car Approximately 70 minutes from Shimonoseki IC / Approximately 60 minutes from Kozuki IC / Approximately 60 minutes from Mine IC Trains and Buses About 30 minutes by bus bound for Tsunoshima from Takibe Station. Get off at the bus stop "Hotel Nishi-Nagato Resort Iriguchi" and walk about 3 minutes "Amagase Park" * Park on the Honshu side About 35 minutes by bus bound for Tsunoshima from Takibe Station Get off at the bus stop "Sezaki Park" Right after "Akari Park" * Park on the Tsunoshima side It is not possible to cross on foot

📍 Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture Tsunoshima Bridge

※Superb view of the sea in Yamaguchi

⊿ Location

After the Kouri Bridge total length 1,960m in Okinawa Prefecture, it is the second longest in the Japan total length 1,780m.

In 2015, it became a hot topic by ranking first in the "Japan Bridge Ranking by Word of Mouth" by TripAdvisor, a major travel site. He is also the author of the bestseller "I want to go before I die!" It was also selected as the third place in the "Superb View of the World"!

The sea was really beautiful and it was a popular tourist spot where there were always people. This was the first time I took a photo with the road in front of me, but there are also points to take pictures from both sides of the pedestrian crossing.

Just a couple photos I took outside of Tabata Station over the weekend. I've always thought this clock tower was neat but I don't stop by Tabata Station much. Decided to take a photo of it this time for anyone who hasn't been to the station. Also a golden statue of a woman. The statue is titled "Flower" with the kanji "華" and was made by Hiroteru Kawasaki 川崎 普照 from my understanding. You can see it from the angle I took the photo, but the clock tower is titled "The Bell of Hope" 希望の鐘. I thought it's interesting that it was titled with "bell" instead of clock tower since I don't think I've heard it ring before. I must not be visiting at the correct times lol. These are both on Tabata Bridge right outside the station

Really amazing view. I'd like to visit Yamaguchi for this and Akiyoshido Cave that I shared a post about last week. This view really looks like something you'd see in Okinawa which is pretty cool since you don't have to leave mainland Japan to see it. I'm not sure if the weather is as good as Okinawa, but judging by this photo it's at least as good on some days. I just wanna sit on a beach, crack a beer and relax under the sun, maybe do a little swimming and just chill out for the day being a beach bum. I know Tsunoshima has some pretty nice beaches too so it'd definitely be nice if I travel down south at all. Of course, as the original post says, I too hope that corona ends as fast as possible so that people can get back to their normal lives and enjoy some of this amazing scenery for themselves

Tsunoshima Bridge, Yamaguchi

The sea is so emerald green that I was surprised! !!
A place with a strong impact that will remain firmly in the memories of traveling from a distant place.

I went to the photo 6 years ago, but due to the new coronavirus, I was working in the fourth wave, and I just stayed home on holidays, and when the corona calmed down, my family increased, and now I want to drive 12 hours with my family of four and travel to Yamaguchi Prefecture and Kyushu.

I pray that the corona will settle down as soon as possible.
Please save as many lives as possible.
I hope that medical professionals can return to normal as soon as possible.

I totally overlooked this the other day. Didn't see it at all. What an awesome bridge. Horai Bridge in Shimada, Shizuoka. Apparently the longest wooden walking bridge and even recorded in The Guinness Book of World Records. Amazing that it was built in 1879 but it can still hold so many people and is in such good shape. I wonder if it gets regular maintenance done. That newer looking segment partway through would have me think so. According to a quote in the original post taken from the Shimada City Homepage, the bridge was for agricultural use to cultivate the Makinohara Plateau which lays on the other side. Previously the people would have to cross by boat which was apparently dangerous. Looks like a really nice place to visit and the bridge has some history as well. Cool stuff!

Horai Bridge is the longest wooden pedestrian bridge in the world.
It is a wooden bridge over the Oi River in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

<Quoted from Shimada City website>
Horai Bridge is an agricultural bridge built in 1879 Meiji 12 to clear the Makinohara Plateau. Before the bridge was built, you had to cross the Oi River by small boat.
It was dangerous to go back and forth.
It is still used by farmers in the old city to manage the tea plantation on the opposite bank. In addition to playing an important role as a farm road, the Horai Bridge is a historic land improvement facility.

Tsukigase, looks like a really nice place. I looked at their local website and the natural scenery is all just as amazing as this photo makes it out to be. It looks like they have some really nice parks in the area as well. It looks like it'd be a really great place to go out on a boat on a sunny day. Also looks like it'd be a nice place to catch some fish as well, I wonder if it's allowed here? I guess there are some hot springs in the area as well. The whole area would probably make for a really nice weekend trip or even maybe you could even spend a week here in the spring and go hiking as well. I guess it's Nara so it's not too surprising that there's so much amazing stuff to see!

I love the timing on this photo getting the wave crashing against the rocks just perfectly. I've never been to Fukui but I know that Oshima has that big red bridge and I want to go check that out. I'm assuming this is where it leads to, and if so, then I really want to give it a visit. I guess the island has a shrine as well that's an Important Cultural Property so that sounds like it'd be interesting to see as well. I didn't realize this was next to Tojinbo though, I want to see those massive jagged cliffs for myself. I've seen them in photos and it always looks really awesome but seeing it in person is always totally different. I imagine it'd be even more amazing!

Asakusa is a sacred place 😊 for the anime "Sarazanmai" "Sarazanmai" is an anime that was broadcast on Fuji TV's "Noitamina" frame from April ~ June 2019. It is an original anime work by director Kunihiko Ikuhara, who worked on "Revolutionary Girl Utena" and others. "Sarat!" used as a decisive line is an 🐸 amane that tends to be said. In the work, there are many sightseeing spots in Asakusa that actually exist! Kaminarimon, Matsuya Ginza, Tool Street, Hanayashiki, Kappabashi Kotaro Statue, Azuma Bridge, etc. ... Therefore, I have photographed Azuma Bridge when I made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land before and the cat that appears in the work, so I would like to introduce 🐱 it. In the article cited, you can see the tool street shopping street that appeared in the work, and at the end, you can see the "Kappabashi Kotaro Statue"! The details were written in the article, so I will omit them here The "Kappabashi Kotaro Statue" comes out as the main place where the main characters gather, Actually, it was suddenly in the middle of the tool street shopping street, and I almost missed it w🥒 ◎Photos1~5 "Azuma Bridge" appears every time as a place where the masters fight in the main story, and becomes the stage for important scenes After the pilgrimage to the Holy Land, I happened to have a chance to go nearby last year, so when I saw it, the color had changed ... 😭 It was maintained and clean, but I was a little shocked because the previous red was mysterious. But the view of the river from the bridge was great, it reminded 😂✨ me of the last time. I would like to go again when the world calms down a little more. I haven't visited all the holy places, so I want to ☕ go to coffee heaven next. Even if you don't know "Sarazanmai", Asakusa has many things to see. I think 😊 it's fun to stroll around the paths and shopping streets.
