I'm really digging the symmetry in this photo. It's really perfect. Also Skytree is awesome so there's that too! I really wanted to visit Asakusa for New Years but had to avoid it sadly. Was looking forward to visiting Sensoji and enjoying all of the other fun stuff in the area. Last time I went it was a lot of fun. Got to try out some of the food stalls and had a bunch of different things like takoyaki, yakisoba, etc. It's been a while since I went since I went to Skytree as well but maybe I can head over there again sometime soon and see the beautiful night view again. Plus Asakusa is always a fun to place to go and get some food anyways!

In the 69th order of the Nakasendō, the pure Nakasendō 67-juku from Itabashi to Moriyama, which surpasses Kusatsu and Otsu-juku shared with the Tokaido, Narai-juku is the 34th post town in the middle of the Nakasendō, counting from Itabashi-juku on the Edo side and Moriyama-juku on the Kyoto side. The post town that prospered with many travelers at the highest altitude of the 11 Kiso inns, ahead of the difficult Torii Pass, was called "Narai Senken". The townscape has been selected as a national important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings, and retains a strong trace of the past. Gifu Park Japan-China Friendship Garden Snow Scenery ❄️ In 1989, Gifu City and Hangzhou City, People's Republic of China, created a garden to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the friendship city partnership, and a gate with a design full of Chinese atmosphere, earthen walls, gardens, and a pond made to imitate West Lake, a famous place in Hangzhou City. This pond is a pond that can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons. 🌸 The cherry blossom season is famous, but the snowy scenery is also the best. When you come to Gifu, please take a walk in Gifu Park. 😊

Oh my god... this is just breathtaking. It's like a paradise above the clouds. I love all of the different colors of leaves that you can see. The blue skies as a backdrop makes it look like something you'd only find in a movie. I really think this settles it. Japan has the most beautiful scenery of any country I think. This is making me want to put on my boots and go for a hike. I've heard of Mt. Taisen before but I never heard the scenery was this amazing. I really like the pond in the middle too, I wonder if there are any fish in it. It'd be amazing if there were some koi in it or something. That'd just be the icing on the cake lol. Going to have some good dreams of this place tonight!

I keep seeing pictures of the Shiroyone Senmaida Rice Terraces and I really just need to go and see it myself. I don't know what it is about rice fields but they're some of the most beautiful scenery you can find in my opinion. I think that's another thing I really love about places like Akita, Saitama, etc. It really just makes me wish summer was here already. I want to go outside and enjoy a barbecue at some park. Spring would be great too, I'd get some plum wine and eat some barbecue under the cherry blossoms. I always love seeing the rice field art too, so if I can see some this year I'll be really happy. I think I saw some in Akita but I didn't get a chance to see any in Saitama yet, so maybe I'll try and find some out there and go out for a visit.

Long day out today. Figured I'd check everyone's posts before bed and wow! I'd not heard of Mt. Yoshino, although I can see why Toyotomi Hideyoshi would have loved it. The scenery is truly beautiful here. I can't even imagine how beautiful the cherry blossoms must be if they're even more amazing than the snowy landscape in this photo. I suppose Kinpusenji Temple is the large building just to the right of the center of the photo. I'd love to give it a visit. It's Nara too, so hopefully I can see some deer during my visit. If not then I'll just have to stop by the park to watch people being chased for their crackers😂 Lovely place though, I'm interested in seeing what it looks like in Autumn as well. Japan never ceases to amaze me with it's colorful foliage so I can imagine Mt. Yoshino is no exception either!

Mount Yoshino is said to have been loved by Hideyoshi Ōko.
Mt. Yoshino is famous for its cherry blossoms, but the snowy scenery is also exceptional.
This scenery can be seen several times a year.
The snowy scenery dyed in white silver and the presence of Kinpusanji Temple are irresistible.

This photo captures the essence of Kyoto so well in my opinion. Cherry blossoms and a yakatabune. It's so simple and yet so elegant at the same time. I like how the boat is just slightly obscured by the cherry blossoms and you can feel how the wood on the roof of the boat has aged just by looking at it. Kyoto has so many beautiful sights to see and experiences to try. I'm looking forward to one of these boat rides the next time I go, and I'm also planning on visiting a kawadoko because I've eaten by a river before so I know how refreshing it is, but I've never eaten OVER a river before inside a boat maybe but this is different so I'm looking forward to a new experience. Going to have to visit all the temples and shrines I didn't have the chance to visit before as well.

Cherry blossoms in Fushimi, Kyoto.
The morning sun shone into the cherry blossoms that bloomed like wearing a parked ten-stone boat.

Just beautiful. There's so much happening in this photo when you really look at it. The paper lantern is really the cherry on the cake for me in this one. I read an article a little while ago about the funaya in Ine and thought it was really interesting. It's awesome getting to see fireworks happening there as well, it's like I've discovered a new side of the area that I didn't know about before. I really enjoy fireworks over water too, and there's plenty of great fireworks festivals in Japan that do just that. I was already looking forward to being able to see the boathouses in Ine one day but now I'm looking forward to it even more. Going to line it up with the Ine Fireworks Festival if I can. The reflection of the fireworks on the water looks really awesome as well.

In Ine-cho, Yosa-gun, Kyoto Prefecture, there are many traditional fishermen's buildings called funaya with the first floor as a dock.
I watched the annual Ine fireworks from the hangar of the boathouse.
The light of the lanterns and the sound of fireworks echoing in the hangar all reminded me of the good old Japan.
