Autumn in Japan... Speaking of which, I have a strong image of the mandarin flowers blooming on the far shore, and I can't forget the Kinchakuda I went to five years ago. During the Coronavirus pandemic 2 years ago, all the flowers were cut before flowering. It was unavoidable, but I watched the news with a very sad feeling. This year, the Coronavirus pandemic will return to normal after the event, so I went there because I wanted to see the bright red carpet again, but the Kinchakuda was still a masterpiece. This year Coronavirus pandemic it was crowded with many people, just like before, and it was this autumn that I realized the joy of the dawn of the Coronavirus pandemic that everyone's feelings are the same.

"2023 Engaru Love Food Fair" is being held at 26 restaurants in the town from October 1st ~ 31st. This fair is a project where you can taste original dishes using "Shirataki jaga" potatoes harvested in the Shirataki area at each store, and this year is the 14th time. In the Shirataki area, where "Shirataki Potato" is harvested, the altitude is 400 meters, and the temperature difference between day and night is large, so Hokuhoku potatoes with a high starch value are harvested. In addition, there are only 8 farmers that produce "Shirataki potato", and it is a rare and valuable potato that is distributed almost only in the town. While preserving the goodness of the ingredients themselves, please ♪ enjoy the "Shirataki potato cuisine" ingenious and ingenious of each store at Engaru Town.

Guided stroll through the Flower Park Roadside Station Nishiokoppe Kamu features an attached Flower Park. On Saturday, September 23, we held an event in which participants explored the grounds with a gardener guide. This event has run for about five years, and this year’s edition invited visitors to enjoy the autumn natural garden. Autumn blooms such as asters, persicaria, and fujibakama (Eupatorium) add color to the park. It’s not only the flowers—apparently the trees and shrubs are grown with great care, and spots where grasses of different hues stand side by side are especially striking. I was surprised that about three people maintain the large Flower Park, and I’m excited to see how the plants planted in recent years will look five or ten years from now. The Flower Park remains open through October. Why not come and relax among the plants as you refresh from your travels?
