The 34th Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival in 2024 will be held until Thursday, February 29! Enjoy the early blooming cherry blossoms of Kawazu for three consecutive weekends! In this post, we will introduce sightseeing spots in Kawazu Town that you can enjoy together with the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival! This time, I would like to introduce the "Dancer Literary Monument of Izu". ・A masterpiece of Japanese literature The Dancer of Izu This stone monument was erected on November 12, 1965 (Showa 40) in an empty space next to the "Fukuda House" associated with Yasunari Kawabata, to commemorate the stage of "Izu no Odoriko", and an unveiling ceremony was held with Mr. Kawabata in attendance.
