#012 There are about 50 restaurants and confectionery shops in Tonomachi. This is the third installment of the Gourmet series! Introducing a long-established Japanese and Western confectionery shop loved outside In the town! ~Opened in 1950, a taste that reminds me of Tonomachi~ Confectionery shop Kikuya Kikuya, a long-established Japanese and Western confectionery shop that has been run by my childhood friend's family since Showa 25, is a shop that continues to be loved by both Town residents and people from outside the town. Many Famous sweets are made in this kikuya. First of all, Kikuya's Japanese sweets "Ichinomiya", the origin of the name is the name given to Ichinomiya in Hyuga Province, a sightseeing spot that represents Tonomachi, as the name suggests. The moist dough contains white bean paste and cream, making it a sweet that combines the best of Japanese and Western flavors. Other, there are many Japanese and Western sweets that remind you of Tonomachi when you get them, such as "Tono Station", "Toyahime", and "Kinfugu Monaka". It is said that the reason why the name of the confectionery is derived from such a town is that the person who receives this candy thinks that it is "a town" or "nostalgic". Certainly, I think that people who have moved out of the prefecture will feel nostalgic if they receive this candy in yellowtail few years. There are such sweets in Tono. Nowadays, it seems that there are customers from outside the town and prefecture who come to buy this sweet, regardless of whether they are Town residents. Kikuya, a Japanese and Western confectionery shop that continues to be loved so much, also sells birthday cakes with custom-made character designs. That's one of the reasons why it's loved. Such Kikuya's sweets are also sold at the station café in the tourism association office. Squid why not buy it as a gift for your loved ones or those who have taken care of you? business hours 9:00~18:00 Sunday 14:00~17:00 Closed Irregularly parking lot Approx. 10 cars telephone number 0983-25-0127 address 〒889-1201 4939 Kawakita, Tono-cho, Koyu-gun, Miyazaki Prefecture (in front of Akagi family residence)

【Climbing 👟 Shiraiwa for the first time in a long yellowtail】 From the 13th ~ 17th, the town road Honyashiki / Namiki Line became passable for both general cars, so I left my Car at the Gokase Highland Skiing Resort Skiing Center and climbed 💪 up to ShiraIwayama (rocky mountain) The management road to the Skiing Resort is not passable for general cars, so we first aimed ✨ for the Burdockhata Trailhead on foot After about 30 minutes of walking, we arrived at 💡 the Burdockhata Trailhead From there, I climbed 😊 Shiraiwa for the yellowtail time in a long time The Mountain Trail was bumpy at first, and but it was easy to walk and the weather was cool, so I was able ✨ to climb without much load At the summit, we were able to exchange valuable Information and learn about 👍 the situation of neighboring mountains The photo shows the chestnut tiger and wildflowers 🥰 that I encountered along the way I was able to walk on the white Iwayama (rocky mountain) for the first time in a long yellowtail, and it was 😆 refreshing
