Shosenkyo Tourism Association
Nov. 26, 2025
Hello, this is the Shosenkyo Tourist Association 😊 The mountains are starting to prepare for winter, but you can still enjoy beautiful autumn foliage 🍁 This seasonal gradation is a rare, indulgent sight available only now ✨ At Senga Falls today, many visitors were taking photos as well 📸 In the clear air, you can hear the waterfall powerfully plunging down. When sunlight breaks through, a faint rainbow may appear if you're lucky… 🌈 Catching that moment feels like receiving a gift from nature 🎁 From now on, Shosenkyo will gradually take on its winter attire Leaves will fall, and the dynamic sculpted cliffs and the waterfall’s force will stand out even more. Come experience the one-of-a-kind expressions nature creates, visible only at this time ✨ We sincerely look forward to your visit 🥾🌿 *The photos were taken on November 24.*

Hiroshima Prefecture Shobara City | New Bakery News 🥖✨ Wakey Wakey Bakery, which just opened on Friday, October 17, 2025, is now featured on the Shobara Tourism Navi website! See spot details here 🔽 https://www.shobara-info.com/spot/5379... The shop name comes from the English word “Wakey,” meaning wake-up and used like a cheerful call to small children. It reflects the owner Rina Nagai’s personal touch—she studied abroad at a university in the State of California. Her wish is simple: to make bread that people want to eat as soon as they wake up, comforting and part of everyday life. The breads on offer use Rina’s original recipes, refined with techniques she learned while working at a bakery in the United States to bring out each item’s flavor. The most popular items are two character breads inspired by a Shiba Inu: Shiba-san (custard) and Nikukyuu Punch (chocolate). Inspired by childhood visits to bakeries with her parents, where character breads captured her imagination, she wanted to create breads that excite children. Basic Information Phone TEL 080-6068-0187 Address 1-1294-8 Nakahommachi, Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture Parking Available 1 space near the shop (No.7) Closed Monday; Wednesday to Thursday; Saturday to Sunday Hours Tuesday and Friday 10:00 until sold out

A Few More Places to Enjoy Autumn Leaves 🍁 Today I drove toward the Kuraoka Area 🚘 The peak of the fall foliage seems to have passed, but the mountains around Gokase are now dyed in the deep, late-autumn colors. It’s truly the ‘‘last chance beauty’’ to behold 👀✨ In some spots vivid leaves still remain, and the ground is carpeted with fallen leaves, offering a scene full of atmosphere to enjoy 🍁✨ Why not bring a warm drink and come feel the quiet, beautiful end of autumn in Gokase? With temperatures dropping sharply this weekend, this may be the final viewing, so please come soon 😆

[Autumn Foliage Drive 🚘] Today I went for a drive to hunt for the remaining autumn leaves as they’re dwindling 🚗 First stop was Josenji Temple 🍁 The maple trees around the temple showed a range of colors, and every view was beautiful ✨ Mt. Nijo, being higher in elevation, didn’t have great foliage this year 😅 Still, the lookout gave a sweeping view of the mountains; the wind was cold but it felt refreshing 😊

#018 It has gotten cold enough that you’ll need a jacket. Tsunocho hosts a variety of events in the coming season. In this post, we’ll introduce the main events taking place through the end of the year all at once. Tsunocho Events: Autumn 🍂 to Year-end 1. Classic Car Festival Car Festa Miyazaki in Tsuno This classic car festival is held at Tsuno Winery every year on the fourth Sunday of November. Cool, cute, nostalgic — many precious classic cars from those days gather here. Although there are no stage performances at the venue, numerous food and craft stalls attract many car enthusiasts. Even people who aren’t normally into cars will likely find themselves saying, “Wow, that brings back memories.” Date and time: Sunday, November 23, 2025, 10:00–15:00 Location: Tsuno Winery Plaza Admission is free. Everyone is welcome. 2. Tsuno Town Industry Festival Following the summer festival, the town’s major event, the Industry Festival, will be held again this year. This year the venue changes to the Tsunomachi Nakamachi Market Site (next to Kikuya Kashiho). On the day there will be a mobile petting zoo, stage shows, and a performance by Miyazaki Prefecture’s local hero, Tenson Kourin Himkaiser. There will also be many food trucks and tent vendors. At the end of the stage program, a big raffle will award popular game consoles, sought-after smartwatches, and specialty products from the local area, sister city Itoman City, and friendship city Saromacho. Date and time: Sunday, November 30, 2025, 9:00–15:00 Location: Tsunomachi Nakamachi Market Site (next to Kikuya Kashiho, in front of Honjin Akagike Residence) Admission is free. We look forward to welcoming you on the day.

Ashoro Hidamari Farm’s BLANK HARD CIDER WORKS cider “00 L#2 (Ale)” won the top prize in the taste judging at the Japan Cider Awards 2025! Using ale yeast commonly employed in beer brewing, the ale’s top-fermenting character minimizes contact between the liquid surface and air, producing a fruity, richly aromatic flavor. In-bottle secondary fermentation allows the yeast—the main component of the lees—to self-break down into amino acids and peptides, adding depth and complexity to the cider. Quoted from the official online store. Our Roadside Station also sells several ciders, including the award-winning “00 L#2 (Ale).” Please pick one up when you visit! Price: ¥1,100 per bottle (tax included) Note: Cider is an alcoholic beverage made from apples. We do not sell to anyone under 20 years old. Autumn leaves in Gokasecho🍁 The autumn colors in Gokasecho have suddenly deepened over the past few days🍁 The foliage in front of Shirataki Falls in Kuraoka District is not fully colored yet, but overall the area is at peak color✨ I also visited Myoken Shrine and other spots in Kuraoka District; the maples there still need a bit more time to peak💡 Some areas will continue to change color, but how about a drive to see Gokase’s autumn leaves this weekend?😊 ⚠Notice⚠ The road to Shirataki is a forest road with poor conditions. There is little space for cars to pass. We do not recommend driving if you lack confidence, are in a large vehicle, or are driving a low-clearance car.

The 3rd “Amakusa Reihoku Literary Walk” tourism route creation workshop was held🎊

On September 25, the third workshop was held in Reihoku to develop a sightseeing walking route that turns literary spots and heritage in Reihoku Town into new tourist resources, allowing visitors to enjoy the “Literary Treasures of Reihoku.”✨

This third session focused on taking a deeper look at writers connected to Reihoku Town. Participants researched as if they were actually guiding tours and presented their findings to one another. Each participant’s guide showed a unique personality, making for an absorbing time.👏

The final, fourth workshop is planned for late October to early November♪

We will hold a fun workshop to exchange opinions based on the walking route proposals and guide manual developed from previous workshops, so please join us.👀

*We plan to open applications on our website in early October.*
