August 9th "Mugikansai" festival celebrates the wheat harvest! 🌾 In Otofukecho, the town with Japan’s highest wheat production, the wheat harvest thanksgiving festival "Mugikansai" will take place. The festival runs simultaneously at three venues: Roadside Station Otofuke, the wheat fields of Miura Farm, and Roadside Station Garden Spa. You can touch, see, taste, and enjoy wheat in many hands-on experiences. A stamp rally will also be held! Please come and join us 😊

The guardian deity of the hot spring town at Roadside Station Garden Spa Tokachigawa Onsen, “Ideyu no Iwaza”♨ It is said that a spirit was divided from Yudonosan Shrine and enshrined as the guardian deity of Tokachigawa Onsen. People believe it brings blessings for household safety, prosperous business, matchmaking, and children. “Ideyu no Iwaza” stands outside, reached by entering the main entrance of Roadside Station Garden Spa and passing through the central larch corridor. The warm days just keep coming! On days like this, why not visit the Fishway Observation Room, Totoroado? At Totoroado, you can watch fish swimming close by through glass! I visited on June 6th and was able to see cherry trout (sakuramasu) making their way upstream! One of the charms is that different fish migrate at different times of year🐟✨ It's a great spot for families with children! Be sure to stop by Totoroado and take a look♪

The Soft-Serve Rally 2025 has started again this year! This is the caramel soft-serve from Roadside Station Garden Spa Kikage no Cafe.🍦 The rich caramel sauce and the soft-serve paired perfectly and were absolutely delicious.❤️ There are other Tokachi-inspired soft-serves too, like Bean! During Golden Week, May 3–6, the Spring Garden Festa takes place. ■Tokachigaoka Observatory Located near Tokachigawa Onsen, it offers views of the Tokachigawa River, the hot spring town, and the Hidaka Mountain Range.
