Sensoji evokes a unique blend of emotions; it is a place steeped in rich traditions, where the scent of incense wafts through the air, inviting visitors to partake in centuries-old customs. At the same time, the area buzzes with contemporary energy, filled with trendy shops and lively street vendors, creating a remarkable fusion of the old and the new that captivates both locals and travelers alike.

When it comes to introducing a country and its vibrant culture to newcomers at the airport, making thoughtful choices about what to showcase is essential because first impressions matter. During my recent trip, I stumbled upon Edo-koji, a charming Edo Market Place in the international terminal at Haneda Airport. The area is adorned with quaint, wooden shops that evoke the spirit of an Edo-era village, complete with a small stage that occasionally features captivating cultural displays. On this visit, I was drawn to a stunning pair of two-folded byōbu (folding screens) featuring an enchanting painting of the Wind God and Thunder God. This remarkable piece, crafted by the renowned Rinpa artist Ogata Kōrin, is a replica of an exquisite work by Tawaraya Sōtatsu, illustrating Raijin, the tempestuous god of lightning and storms, alongside Fūjin, the gentle god of wind. Honestly, what could be cooler than this? It’s a perfect representation of Japan’s rich artistic heritage right at the heart of the airport!

I went to Zen Rinji Temple (Eikando) in Kyoto. This is one of the pictures I took because I thought that the spiral staircase called Uryu Corridor, the trees growing next to it, and the shadows reflected on the stairs would be a picture.

Last summer, I went to Onomichi in Hiroshima. The photo was taken while visiting a café attached to a guest House called Miharashi-tei and drinking mandarin orange juice. There are many books in the store, and I thought it was wonderful to see a picture of a customer reading a book in front of a beautiful view.

From the summit of Mt. Omuro in Shizuoka Prefecture. The spread of Mt. Fuji seems to envelop other mountains and cities with their arms wide open. When you stand on the top of the mountain and face Mt. Fuji, you feel as if you are on an equal footing, but Mt. Fuji is a mother, and even a son who wants to stretch himself will eventually feel protected by his mother's hands. An existence that cannot be surpassed, and a warm existence.

It is a sunflower field in Dewa Park in Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture. The Musashino Line passes Soba (buckwheat noodles) right next to it. This is one of the photos from my trip to Osaka. I'm from Miyagi Prefecture, but I thought the rope entrance was very unusual and cool, so I took a picture. It was also the first time I saw "Don't Touch the Rope" on the platform.

Today, we interviewed Mr. 168. It is a collaboration menu with Kichijoten. It is a set of 鹹湯圓 (鹹湯圓), Roux Lo rice and side dishes. 鹹湯圓 is a white jade soup with minced meat. Popular peach buns 🍑 (walnut bean paste) were very popular. The peach buns, unfortunately, are not photographed, but they are so delicious that I ate them in no time. The Roux Lo rice is also very delicious. 😊

Bungo-Ono City in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu On February 8, 2025, "Bungo-Ono no Dondoyaki" was Held in in Ono Town, Bungo-Ono City. At a height of about 20 meters, there are Sacred straw ropes and New Year's pine decorations brought in. This is a photo of when I went skiing in Hakuba this winter. On this day, a cold wave arrived on the Sea of Japan side, and there was a severe snowstorm. There were many foreigners visiting Japan at the ski resort, and I realized firsthand that the wave of inbound tourism is also surging to the ski resort. I enjoyed skiing while enjoying the superb view of Hakuba.

This is a photo I took at the beach with a friend I met there when I went to inn Kagawa Prefecture Kannonji Temple. There is a scenic spot called There are Chichibugahama Beach near Kannonji Temple, but here there was a quiet and beautiful sea that drew you in. It is the best memory of my college life!
