Located in Ugo Town, Akita Prefecture, Nishi Baonnai Bon Odori is a summer festival with a history and tradition of more than 700 years, which is counted as one of the three major Bon Odori dances in Japan along with the Gujo Odori of Gifu Prefecture and the Awa Odori of Tokushima Prefecture. The venue is Nishimaonnai Honmachi Street, which is the central village of Ugo Town, and it is a bon event held for 3 days from August 16th ~ 18th every year. It was mysterious and gorgeous to see dancers dressed in distinctive torioi hats (knitted hats), colorful and beautifully stitched kimonos and yukatas, dancing gracefully to the beating of taiko drums and songs. Especially this year, as it was the first regular event in four years, people from outside the town were able to participate in the dance, and many people from inside and outside the prefecture came to see it. Photos of the festival will continue after this, but I hope you can see it.

Colorful streamers can be seen in the arcades in the center of Sendai City and throughout the city, giving you a cool summer feeling. This year, which was held normally for the first time since 2019, infection control measures have been greatly relaxed, The scenery of many tourists wading through the streamers has returned to the central shopping street.

Posted from Monbetsu Tourist Information Center! This time, we will introduce the impressions and charms of Monbetsu to the two people who are currently working as trainees. ・Darshani Weeerakkodi (from Sri Lanka / live in Yokohama) Nice to meet you? We came to Monbetsu on 2023.07.30. I ate ramen ? at a Chinese restaurant as I came. I also got delicious bean paste sweets from this shop. It was very tasty. (The ramen in the photo is another shop "Ramen Nishiya") On the second day, we went sightseeing in Monbetsu. - Okhotsk Sky Tower? ー Crab Claw Statue ? - Seal Land ? ーIce Sea Observatory Tower Okhotsk Tower⚓️?? -The drift icebreaker is the Rinko ⛴️ ーDrift Ice Science Center❄️?, I went to see such a place. I was surprised that it was a place that I couldn't see anywhere else. When I went to Okhotsk Sky Tower, Monbetsu looked like a map ?. I was surprised to hear that the Crab Claw Statue object weighed 7 tons. In Seal Land, the time I went was the time for a seal rice called Mina. It was interesting to go as it was so that I wouldn't mind calling her Mina. I also saw the Rinko ⛴️ for the first time. The place I really enjoyed was the location of the drift ice science center GIZA. It was cold inside the -20C, but it was interesting. I was able to see and touch the big drift ice ? and fish ? in the ice, which I had never experienced before. I also saw plankton called Clione for the first time. From the third day, I started working at the Monbetsu Tourist Information Center. I worked on websites and introductions for foreigners. On the fourth day, I went to take pictures of the famous place of Monbetsu with the office staff. - Omsaro Nature View House ? - Okhotsk Garden ? ーI went to see the coast ?. I took a lot of beautiful pictures. From the fourth day, I have been making videos using the photos and videos ?I have taken so far and putting them in the social media. I really enjoyed working with the people at the office. Everyone is kind and gentle, always helping me. Also, thank you to Mr. Onukiyama of the city hall and Mr. Nakamura of the Monbetsu Tourist Information Center, who have been helping me from where I came to Monbetsu until now. Thank you for your support. It was really fun to come to Monbetsu's Inter ship and have a good experience.

This time, we will introduce the impressions and charms of Monbetsu to the two people who are currently working as trainees. ・Le Thi Lan Huong (from Vietnam / live in Yokohama) Nice to meet you, my name is Fong. I'm from Vietnam. I did a one-week internship in Monbetsu. When I came to Monbetsu for the first time, there were fewer houses and buildings than in Yokohama. Instead, there are many trees, flowers and the sea. The atmosphere was ? very comfortable. I couldn't interact with many people, but everyone was friendly and kind. I stayed at Monbetsu Prince Hotel ?. Every day when I leave after the internship, I say, "Thank you for your hard work." I was told. I was impressed. ? ♀️? I feel like I'm coming home to myself. The charm of crest... It's not buzzing, it's not brilliant. There is a special charm of Monbetsu City. The tranquility and gentle scenery are ? attractive. If you are tired from work and need a place to relax, Monbetsu City is the place to go. In addition to the scenery, there are experiences and tours that can only be found in Monbetsu City. For example, the Sea of ? Okhotsk ... Recommended in summer is a large Crab Claw Statue object ? and view of the Sea of Okhotsk. Next is a forest park ??️, green grass and yellow flowers ? dotted around. It was very beautiful. A lot of huge ice ❄️? floes come in winter, you can do snow sports (skiing, snowboarding⛷️ ⛸️...). Others have flower gardens in spring, summer and autumn. Purple lavender?, pink moss phlox ?, red yellow orange tulips ? . Everyone, please come to Monbetsu City. ??
