The summit of Mt. Eniwa, the highest peak on the shores of Lake Shikotsu, the northernmost ice-free lake in the Japan. The rugged solo mountain meal in the silence without wind is lively in this special seat, making it the most luxurious cherry blossom viewing.

From Kurumayama to Washigamine, the Kirigamine Plateau continues with gentle undulations. Seasonal alpine plants such as Astragalus azalea, Nikko kisuge, and Matsumushiso dye the green meadow in various colors. Mt. Fuji, the Alps, the Yatsugatake mountain range, and other famous peaks that Japan are proud of are also overlooked. Kirigamine Plateau is also known as the birthplace of Japan gliders because of its abundant updrafts in the area, making it suitable for glider flight. Cited from Kirigamine Kogen tourism website.

Wow this is beautiful. If there's one thing I'm going to miss come spring it's going to be all of the beautiful winter photography that I've had the pleasure of seeing this year. That being said I'm sure spring will be just as beautiful thanks to all the greenery and cherry blossoms coming to life. This photo is really cool though. Before I zoomed in it looked like some historical castle townscape covered in snow but then upon closer inspection it's a modern area with modern homes. The river is cool too, it reminds me of a moat separating a castle from its town at this angle and probably because of the cobblestone. The mountain backdrop is really amazing too, I suppose that's maybe where the mine cart runs to? Guess I'll have to visit Asago to find out!

"Ice Trees and the Rising Sun" I was about to give up due to the ridiculously strong wind and the cold cloudiness, Somehow, it cleared up at sunrise and the view changed to a superb view at once. I am very satisfied to be able to photograph the ice trees that can only be seen in winter. Location: Nagano

"Yatsugatake and the Milky Way in Winter" The perfect cloudless Milky Way day came, I photographed the Milky Way along with Yatsugatake at my favorite shooting point. It was the best with a starry sky! I used a soft filter to capture a large image of the stars. It is a sticking point. Location: Nagano

In Gifu City, it rarely snows every year, and this year it rained, so I went to a nearby shrine to take pictures before work.

This is the snowy scenery when I went to Kamikawa Town in Hyogo Prefecture. I filmed the moment my husband filmed me. It is one of my favorite photos of winter.

Gifu Park Japan-China Friendship Garden Snow Scenery ❄️ In 1989, Gifu City and Hangzhou City, People's Republic of China, created a garden to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the friendship city partnership, and a gate with a design full of Chinese atmosphere, earthen walls, gardens, and a pond made to imitate West Lake, a famous place in Hangzhou City. This pond is a pond that can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons. 🌸 The cherry blossom season is famous, but the snowy scenery is also the best. When you come to Gifu, please take a walk in Gifu Park. 😊

Nagano・Narai-juku Snow falls on a quiet post town

In Iiyama City, Nagano Prefecture, to the village of Kamakura. The kamakura blue seen at dusk is fantastic.

It's humble, but we were able to film the collaboration between Sun Pillar and Diamond Dust. It was cold, but it was worth sticking. Location: Kirigamine

Snow on persimmons

I love the reflection the bridge and surrounding treeline makes on the surface of the river in this photo. Really beautiful stuff. I'd like to visit Aizu-Wakamatsu because I've heard that Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle is awesome and also the local sake in the area is supposed to be really good as well. I'm not too familiar with the area but I know Aizu-Wakamatsu is surrounded by mountains and that Mt. Bandai is over there. Maybe that's it in the background? I'm not too sure, but whatever the case may be it's a really breathtaking photo. Japan's snowscapes really are a gift that keeps on giving. Especially this year there's a ton of beautiful landscapes like this and getting to see them posted everywhere is really great. Everyone has such amazing photos it makes me want to try my hand at photography 😂. Maybe someday, we'll see lol

Long day out today. Figured I'd check everyone's posts before bed and wow! I'd not heard of Mt. Yoshino, although I can see why Toyotomi Hideyoshi would have loved it. The scenery is truly beautiful here. I can't even imagine how beautiful the cherry blossoms must be if they're even more amazing than the snowy landscape in this photo. I suppose Kinpusenji Temple is the large building just to the right of the center of the photo. I'd love to give it a visit. It's Nara too, so hopefully I can see some deer during my visit. If not then I'll just have to stop by the park to watch people being chased for their crackers😂 Lovely place though, I'm interested in seeing what it looks like in Autumn as well. Japan never ceases to amaze me with it's colorful foliage so I can imagine Mt. Yoshino is no exception either!

In Sapporo City, Hokkaido, at the bicycle parking lot of a certain shopping mall. It is not uncommon for sleds to be a means of transportation for small children in Hokkaido, but I took a picture of two brightly colored sleds lined up in a bicycle parking lot in the middle of winter when there are no bicycles. On the way home, I can imagine small children who seem to be having fun on this sled and parents pulling their belongings home with their purchases.

We were blessed with good weather and were able to enjoy the beautiful snowy scenery. It was a happy moment to be enveloped in 360 degrees and frost! !️

I was 😁 able to see a superb scenery that made me feel tired from the hard climbing. The blue sky and frost go perfectly together! !️

A little later than usual tonight, work had me running late today. But wow! This is so beautiful! It seems like Nagano has so much beautiful scenery. I love the different ropeways that can be found all over Japan as well. I'd love to take a ride on this Kitayatsugatake Ropeway it looks like? Gonna have to wrap up pretty good though for this lol. It's crazy that even this far south of Hokkaido there's so much snow this year. Maybe it's normal for Nagano, I'm not really sure about the weather there normally, but it makes for some lovely photography at least! I'm going to try and get out this weekend, away from the crowds and try and get some fresh air if I can. Hopefully it goes well. Been staying away from crowded areas by just staying home but if I can go on a small trip and still avoid people then it should be fine!

When I heard that it was winter in Japan, I was reminded of the snowy country of Hokkaido. #Biei in Hokkaido is famous as the blue pond. The contrast between the mysterious blue pond and the pure snow was very beautiful.
