【Flower Park LIVE "KAMUon"】 We greeted September 22nd with our hearts pounding, wondering whether it would rain. We held the live event "KAMUon" inside the Flower Park at the Roadside Station Kamu. A breezy autumn wind swept through the garden. On that day, all kinds of sounds filled the wide space surrounded by nature. Elementary school bands and dancers stole the show, a unit captivated us with original songs, and idol Goichi delivered an hour full of cuteness and fun. A boy shared mysterious sounds and strange stories, someone memorized and read essays aloud in a lovely voice, and another person read a picture book accompanied by the koto’s tones. We are truly grateful to all the performers. Every act held our attention—what wonderful stages they were! *** We wanted visitors passing through the Roadside Station to enjoy the attached garden. With that in mind, we decided to try an event that would make people want to step into the garden, and planned this live. For venue preparation, the gardener tidied the paths and stage area, and on the day staff and performers arrived early to set up. The children’s fair popped out from the market area and enlivened the event with a mobile gacha machine and candy fishing. *** The Flower Park can be enjoyed through Sunday, October 20th. Come relax in the autumn garden. #Nishiokoppe Village #KAMUon #Roadside Station #Kamu #Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team #Flower Park #Autumn Marche #Live Event #Ritts Pritz Khao Man Gai #Pipopapo #LOCKHAMA #Original Song #Kitami #Goichi #Kuma Robo #Yura Henmi #Otoineppu #High School Student #Villager A’s Reading #Essay #Koto and Picture Book Time #Mizunara no Inochi #Mochi Mochi no Ki

Sano-kaze Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo On this day, food lover Kasai visited Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo. This hand-baked senbei shop has been at this location for about 35 years. On the day, President Hiroko Kitahara, who also bakes the senbei, showed us around. Stepping inside, the first thing that struck me was the wide variety. For a true senbei fan like Kasai, the selection was almost bewildering 🍘. Among them were many kinds, including shimi senbei and lacquered senbei. Popular No.1 is nori No.2 is twice-dipped No.3 is apple senbei Next is nozawana wasabi Nozawana wasabi is quite unusual, isn’t it? You often see nozawana in prefectural souvenir shops, but “nozawana wasabi” is rare. Apple, nozawana, and wasabi are all Nagano specialties. Quince is a specialty of Suwa. Apricot, matcha, white sugar, brown sugar, shichimi, ichimi, miso, negi miso, walnut miso, garlic, and more… There may be more varieties here than anywhere else in Nagano Prefecture. Kasai’s recommendations are “garlic” and “twice-dipped.” The garlic offers a subtle garlic aroma, while the twice-dipped has a rich, well-infused flavor that lets you enjoy the savory depth of soy sauce. Because they are hand-baked, the texture is superb—this shop is recommended for those who like firm senbei. Among the standout items is “Fukutoku”!!! Some of you may recognize the name “Fukutoku.” It was made by President Kitahara’s grandfather. Unlike fortune cookies, Fukutoku contains a lucky charm inside!!! President Kitahara has apparently succeeded in reviving it in her generation, wanting to restore it somehow. And above all, Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo is hand-baked and right in front of the Grand Shrine!!! They sell by hand, and the shop sits very close to the torii of the Main Shrine ⛩. When visiting Suwa Grand Shrine’s Main Shrine, be sure to look for your favorite flavor or souvenirs at Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo, and take a stroll along the North Approach. ◎ Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo 📍 201 Nakasu, Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture 392-0015 (Suwa Grand Shrine North Approach) ☎ 0266-58-1235 Hours: Weekdays 9:30 AM–4:30 PM (may vary) : Sat, Sun, and holidays 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ◎ Closed: Open year-round

Night Drum (Niihama Drum Festival) It is a type of festival float that is offered to the portable shrine at the time of the festival portable shrine and at the time of the passing, it participates in the procession and solemnly offers, and is Dedication to the Ujigami(clan deity) in gratitude for the autumn of the Harvest Festival. It is often found in shipping hubs along the coast of the Seto Inland Sea. Among the Drum Stands, they are said to be nearly 3 tons in size, and the appearance of the Niihama Drum Stand, which is presented by more than 150 men and dances in the clear autumn sky, is nicknamed the "Oto's Festival" because of its gorgeousness and grandeur. The photo is not of a blue sky, but of a drum stand illuminated by lights in the pitch black darkness. The gold and silver threads shine and the tassels sway violently, which is truly gorgeous and magnificent.

Hello, this is En'emon Folklore Museum. While daytime can still be warm, the mornings and evenings are beginning to carry a cool autumn breeze! Drawn by a clear, endless blue sky, I took a rare stroll out to the Ishimon area, and under the tree shade a pleasant wind swept through.✨ There are only three months left in the year now that October has arrived. The birthstone for October, tourmaline, is said to carry an electrical charge and be good for health. It is also believed to dispel negative influences and shift the mind toward positive thinking. Why not feel the richness of nature and experience the history of the Japan Heritage site and the power of stone? Please stop by En'emon Folklore Museum during your walk♪ We look forward to seeing you 😃

Inukai Stone Buddha (National Historic Site) The Inukai Stone Buddha stands in Inukai Town, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, Kyushu. The Inukai Stone Buddha is a rock-carved image sculpted into welded tuff from an Aso pyroclastic flow about 90,000 years ago. Based on the style of the figure, it is estimated to have been created in the Kamakura period. Although it represents Fudo Myo-o, its gentle facial expression is striking. The knees appear to sit in a cross-legged position, yet the carving gives the impression of being viewed from above, which is an intriguing technique. The stone Buddha is protected by a shelter, and the cliff above the roof bears the inscription "Ryudenzan." On the cliff to the upper right of the shelter, the large inscription reads "Namu Daishi Henjo Kongo." Isehara Flower Update 2024.10.3 The red spider lilies in Hinata are coming into full bloom around each bus stop. Blooming has also started at Hinata Yakushi. Many visitors continue to come to the area around Hinata Yakushi Bus Stop. Here are the red spider lilies near Hinata Yakushi Bus Stop as of yesterday. There were many buds near Takahashi Bus Stop, and while some early bloomers are fading and being replaced by new ones, the flowers should remain beautiful for about a week, so please come soon! Yesterday, at the Oyama Fire Festival bonfire Noh performance, I enjoyed the mystical world lit by the torches! The red spider lilies along the Oyama Shindo are also at their best! Don’t miss them!! ※There are few buses, so please check the schedule in advance. Parking lots may become crowded depending on the day and time. Please observe good manners and enjoy your walk. *Please use the Hinata red spider lily guide map placed inside the can at the restroom entrance in the Hinata Yakushi Bus Stop Parking Area and in the back parking lot of the Skills Development Center (8:30–16:00).

The sword is the soul of the samurai; it cannot be sold even if it starves to death. Bushido made the sword a symbol of his power and valor. From an early age, one is taught how to use a sword. He started with a wooden sword, and when he reached the age of 15, he was allowed to carry a serious weapon. At that time, he became aware of his self-respect and sense of responsibility for carrying a dangerous weapon in the street.

UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage "Ara Odori" on Sunday, September 29 Ara Odori took place on Sunday, September 29 🐵💫 The sunny weather was almost hot and great for photos, but I imagine it was truly tough for everyone who spent the whole day dancing in costume. Well done to all of you 👏 I was amazed to see so many people each memorizing their roles, dances, and songs to perform a single dance together 😳✨ Elementary school students joined in and danced Ara Odori partway through, and it moved me to see this tradition being passed down to people of all ages 🥹 I heard that Ara Odori used to ban women long ago, but even as the form has changed with the times, I felt a strong community spirit to protect the tradition together 💪✨ Today, students from Gokase Junior High School, who hope to share more of Gokase Town’s charm and traditions and make the town more vibrant, spent the whole day filming the Ara Odori on video for us 📸💡 We should be able to share that video soon, so look forward to it 🤗💕
