Minobu-san Kuon-ji Temple 400-year-old drooping cherry trees 2025.03.30 Kuon Temple is full of highlights such as the main hall established as the head shrine of Nichiren Buddhism Nichiren Shoshu entered Mt. Minobu on May 17, 1274 (Bunei 11), and from June 17 of the same year, he made his residence in a soan in the west valley at the foot of Mt. Takatoriyama. As a result, May 17, 1274 was designated as Nichiren Shojin Minobu Entry Day, and June 17 of the same year was designated as the day of the opening of Mt. Minobu. Since then, Nichiren Shojin has been reciting the Lotus Sutra and teaching his disciples for nine years, and on November 24, 1281 (Koan 4), he abolished the old hermitage and built an Authentic Hall, which he named himself "Minobusan Myōhoin Kuon Temple". From HP Impression everywhere you look, such as the magnificent Main gate, the three gates, and the five-story pagoda. In particular, the 400-year-old drooping cherry trees that bloom in the Precincts at this time of year are a masterpiece.

I went ❣️ to "Arimatsu", a town that is Located inside Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture but retains the faces of the Edo period Arimatsu was a teahouse settlement between Chiryu no Shuku and Narumi inn inn on the former Tokaido Highway that connected Edo and Kyoto, and flourished as a tie-dye production area, and was the perfect place ❣️ for a kimono trip It is a wonderful town where you can touch the atmosphere of the Edo period. I was 😃 exposed to a lot of cultural techniques and things in Japan, such as facilities where you can experience tie-dyeing, museums, and merchant's houses

Nagawacho Kikazu Dōsojin Long ago, an old man visited the Dōsojin shrine every day without fail, hoping his grandchild would be able to hear. After walking home hand in hand with the grandchild one day, a huge thunderbolt struck. Then a rainbow appeared, and when the two who had fallen finally stood up, the grandchild clung to the grandfather’s leg, saying, “That thunder was so loud, I’m scared.”😮 The grandfather leaped for joy when his grandchild’s hearing was restored and offered his treasured bowl as a gift.👏 At that time there was a custom of speaking in opposites, and the shrine became known as “Kikazu Dōsojin” (Not-Listening Dōsojin). It’s one of those old tales that might bring a little tear to your eye…😊🌈

Calligraphy has a delicate sense of beauty, and the subtle changes in fine lines, dots, and shading enhance its beauty. There is also an aesthetic sense of stillness, and it is important to keep one's mind quiet and focused when writing. In addition, it is essentially important to perform basic manners, such as sitting upright, keeping the back straight, and holding the brush upright. #kanji #kimono #Calligraphy

First, we will explain what calligraphy is, followed by an explanation of attitudes and tools first. You will better understand the difference between calligraphy as a form of character decoration (caligraphy), which also exists overseas, and Japanese "shodo" (calligraphy). Calligraphy is a traditional Japanese culture that uses brush and ink to express characters artistically, and is appreciated for its neatness, the way the brush is carried, the shade of the ink, and the beauty of the overall arrangement of the characters. #kanji #kimono #Calligraphy #tatamiroom #samurai

📍 Akibayama Main Shrine Akiba Shrine (841 Ryoka, Spring Town, Tenryu-ku, Hamamatsu-shi, Shizuoka) 【Overview】 Deep in the mountains of Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, at an elevation of 866 meters, is Akibayama Main Shrine Akiba Shrine. Mt. Akiba is called Mt. Shintai, and it was founded in the 2nd year of Wado (709 AD). It is the Main Shrine of Akiba Shrine, which has more than 400 companies nationwide. ---------------- and Lower Shrine and Upper Shrine, the photograph shows the "Torii (shrine gate) of happiness" in the Upper Shrine. Akibayama is also very famous as the god of fire prevention, and as a local in Hamamatsu City, I am very indebted to him. Even as a child, even if you don't understand the kanji "Akiha-san!", the sound is familiar to your ears. In fact, when I was mentally ill, the first thing my mother brought me to for a change of pace was the Lower Shrine in Akibayama. (Actually, he wanted to take me to the Upper Shrine, but considering my physical strength and physical condition, he decided to go down to the Lower Shrine.) ) That's how important the shrine is to me. Now that I have moved to Tokyo and am living happily, this photo was taken when I stopped by early in the morning on my way back to my parents' house. In fact, on this day, when I arrived at the Car parking lot in Akibayama, I and trouble that my Car was about to break down. However, fortunately, I was able to reach the cars parking lot without stopping in the middle of the slope. In addition, in the restroom of the Car parking lot, I was able to collect the Water used for the worst first aid, and on the way back, I was able to go down and slide safely into the car parts store while cooling the engine. Akibayama helped us with this as well. That's how I feel. ---------------- It may be difficult to visit because of the distance from Hamamatsu Station on the Shinkansen, but I have no regrets about going. It is a shrine that can be affirmed. If you're lucky, you may be able to see a sea of clouds or as far away as Enshu Nada. As for me, I recommend visiting in the morning. It's a place ☺ where the air is clean, there are few people, and your mind is calm. 【! Caution! Please refrain from destroying the scenery of the shrine, polluting it, or causing inconvenience. 📍 Tama River Sengen Shrine The shrine is located a 2-minute walk from Tama River Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, Tama River Line, Meguro Line, Namboku Line, and Mita Line. The God of worship is the god who protects the mountain greenery, Princess Kibana Sakiya. This photo shows the entrance to the shrine (approach to the temple). Since it was the Time Slot / Time of Day when the sun was setting, the photo created a solemn atmosphere.
