This photo was taken at Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto. When I entered the precincts after passing through the South Tower Gate at dusk, the contrast between the beautiful vermilion gate and the piercing color of the sky was beautiful, and it was as if I had entered another world. I was also able to photograph the shadows of people trying to step into another world at the same time.

The Byodo-in Phoenix Hall is a Japan ten-yen coin. I haven't been there since 2019, but it's always beautiful. I had to take a quick picture with many tourists flowing by, but I think I was able to capture it from a good angle of view, including the crescent moon!

【Autumn Colored Stairs】 At the top of the straight staircase, the autumn leaves were shining beautifully lit up. The illumination time was almost over, and the stairs were crowded with people taking pictures, but I waited for the moment when there were fewer people.

This is the Daigoji Buddhist temple in Kyoto. This photo highlights the contrast between the warm red temple and the chilly winter breeze. It really gives off the winter vibe as you stare in awe at the beauty of this scene. One is left seeking solace in their worship as the snow descends outside, covering everything.

I felt ☺️ ❤️ as if I had traveled back in time when I saw the boatman slowly rowing the boat on the Hozu River in Kyoto Arashiyama.

One photo at Rurikoin Temple, Kyoto, November 2020. The beautiful trees in the garden were reflected on the sutra desk, creating a fantastic world. In particular, the withered ginkgo trees and the maple trees with autumn leaves seemed to show the transience of the human world, and it was truly a superb view.

Autumn of Japan. Yanagitani Kannon's water shed for autumn leaves. It was a moment when I was moved by the fact that the taste of collecting colorful autumn leaves and delighting the eyes of visitors is the very spirit of hospitality unique to Japan people.

Some photos I took at Nijo Castle in spring 2018. You can see the cherry blossoms in some of the photos just starting to bloom, but not quite in full bloom, and the rest of the gardens were really enjoyable as well. I really liked the gold decorations/designs on the buildings. The gate was also really cool. I believe it's called Karamon Gate although I'm not 100% sure on that. The moat around the castle was pretty neat as well, I can imagine it was a strong fortification, especially since it belonged to Tokugawa Ieyasu, although I'm not entirely sure about the rest of the castle's history. The photos of the moat and surrounding area were taken from on top of a small vantage point, and I wonder if it was originally some sort of turret, but I'm not sure about that either. Either way, I definitely recommend giving it a visit to anyone in Kyoto or anyone planning to visit Kyoto. I believe it was relatively close to the Golden Pavilion as well, so if you have the chance, why not?

Summer in Kyoto is the Gion Festival! The scene of the yamaboko turning around is truly a masterpiece. I hope that next year will bring back that traditional beauty and enthusiasm.
