Autumn in Nikko The World Heritage Site, Nikkō Tōshō-gū Shrine. Just off the main path, vibrant autumn quietly thrived.

In the flower fields of Agrostemma, the beautiful scenery of Mt. Nantai and Mt. Nyohou can be seen. The Agrostemma fields belong to a local farmer, and we are truly grateful. The sight of the Agrostemma swaying in the wind is a hidden gem that offers a refreshing summer atmosphere. The mountains in the background are the Nikkō Mountains, where you can capture stunning photos of beautiful peaks like Mt. Nantai and Mt. Nyohou.

February 14th I went to Okunikko’s Lake Chuzenji to photograph the splash ice. These strange formations are nature’s artworks! I found myself chuckling as I shot them—such amusing splash ice. In the past, the cliffs at Utagahama froze like Niagara Falls, and every year I come back, hopeful, to photograph the splash ice, but that breathtaking display has only happened once and I haven’t seen it for years. Is it the effect of global warming? I’ll keep coming without giving up!

9:00 AM on November 14, 2025 Mount Fuji and autumn foliage from Koyodai, Narusawamura, Yamanashi Prefecture I wanted to see the colors spreading from the mountain’s vast base up to its summit! Waking up early to go was worth it!

August 23, 2025 I took a walk around Lake Okunikko Yunoko and took a walk in Nature in search of coolness. Comfortable at a temperature of 25°C! I enjoyed ♪ walking around for about 3 hours Feel the comfort of the wind coming across the surface of the lake! Refreshing for a moment! It is also recommended for ♪ summer vacations

Summer cumulonimbus clouds and rain patterns directly below them. From Takanezawa Towns in Tochigi Prefecture, I took a picture in the direction of Nikko City. Traveling by motorcycle has many moments when you can feel the majesty of Nature.

The Yomeimon Gate at the Nikko Tosho-gu shrine. We arrived towards the closing time of this shrine and yet this gate made me stand and stare at the gorgeous detail of the artist's work. Very symbolic of the beautiful Japanese history. The cherry on the cake was that beyond this gate, we could walk up to the final resting place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, someone who I admire and had read about so much before arriving in Japan.

Sunny weather in winter Lake Nakazenji in Nikko was dyed a dark blue. It shows a different look depending on the season and time of day. It is a fascinating attraction that will not let you get bored no matter how many times you visit.

January 13. Filial piety trip. [Tochigi] The anniversary of my first trip to my father and mother. On the way to the inn, I wanted to stop at Toshogu, so I went to the new Toshogu Shrine, which was renovated. It was sunny until halfway through, but as soon as I arrived, Heavy snow. It was really cold, but I was happy to see such a wonderful Toshogu Shrine! It was a happy time to see my parents' happy faces!

When I was strolling around the waterfall in the Nikko area, there was a quiet Canyon on the way, so I stopped at this place While walking around the waterfalls in the Nikko area, I came across a quiet valley along the way, so I stopped at this place.

Irohasaka with brocade This is located in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture 　　　　　　　　　　"Irohasaka" Every year during the autumn foliage season, Iroha is a popular spot that causes traffic jams. The whole mountain is dyed in golden color, showing you a 🤤 different world

Knowing the unknown. A little unknown waterfall can be seen from the Akechideira ropeway basement. The waterfall is surrounded with very colorful leaves which makes the whole atmosphere very scenic.

This heavenly beautiful road is situated in nikko. The road is surrounded by the a very vibrant autumn forest. It was taken from Akechideira ropeway in nikko. It truely represents the scenic beauty of Japan.

Sheer maple "Nichishio Maple Line" Autumn leaves found during touring. It was so beautiful that I couldn't help but stop.

Autumn leaves of Nikko Kiri no Falls Kiriyuki Falls in a spectacular valley

It is a mountain trail from the summit of Mt. Tsukuba to Mt. Ontai. The weather was cloudy when I went, but it was nice to see the scenery rich in nature.

The approach to Oku-Nikko Onsenji Temple in Tochigi Prefecture Snow covered in lanterns lined up, It's like wearing a matching hat. A wooden path leads from the middle of the approach to the Yumoto source. The view from the wooden path is also superb.

Just some more photos to wrap up our trip to Nikko. I took a bunch of photos of different monuments and buildings that seemed important or had lavish decorations. I can't make out what the writing on the monument says but I can at least make out the kanji for heart 心. I also liked the golden palanquins inside the the building in the forth photo, although I'm not sure if they were used at some point or are simply for decoration. The other photos are from Futarasan Chugushi Shrine 二荒山中宮祠神社 located in front of Lake Chuzenji. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go inside the shrine but I was at least able to take some nice photos of the torii gate. Apparently it has a kagura hall as well and the entrance to Mt. Nantai is located inside the shrine as well. And finally, just an assortment of food that I haven't posted yet. All of it tasted great. It was definitely a trip I'm never going to forget!
