The 55th Izu Shimoda Onsen Hydrangea Festival is currently being held!\(^o^)/ The hydrangeas at Shimoda Park are in full bloom! Enjoy the colorful hydrangeas that resemble a kaleidoscope!♬ Thank you to all the visitors who came today despite the rain!✨ At the Shimoda Kaikoku Museum, located about a 10-minute walk from the venue, visitors are welcomed by floating hydrangeas at the entrance (≧▽≦) Though small, it offers a lingering feeling of being in Japan's best hydrangea garden, and we highly recommend it! Additionally, the Shimoda Kaikoku Museum is also hosting a "Hydrangea Festival Stamp Rally" starting from the museum! https://www.shimoda-museum.jp/new/2026/03/28/2980/... Enjoy it along with the hydrangeas of Shimoda!

Akanko's local tofu, "Marimo Tofu" At "Tofu Kobo Marufuku" located in Akan Lake Onsen Town, we manufacture and sell safe and secure tofu made from 100-year-old Akan spring water and Hokkaido-grown soybeans. Shaped similarly to the famous confectionery "Marimo Yōkan" from Akan Lake, the tofu is filled with a lightly green matcha-flavored tofu inside a small rubber balloon. When you poke a toothpick into the rubber, the skin (rubber) peels off smoothly, providing a delightful experience with our signature product, "Marimo Tofu"! Additionally, enjoy other delicious specialties unique to Akan Lake, such as yōse tofu, soy milk, and fried tofu!

I went to "Yakiniku Daichi no Takumi" for lunch in Tokachigawa Onsen, Otofuke Town 🥩🔥 Daichi no Takumi's lunch set menu is extensive, offering yakiniku, steak, hamburgers, stir-fried dishes, ramen, and more. This time, I received the "Stir-Fried Levanilla Set" 😋 The main ingredient, the liver, was juicy and soft, and the chives and bean sprouts still had a firm texture and were crunchy, making it very delicious! Even if you make a large serving of rice, you'll probably end up eating it in one go. You can also order on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays! Please give it a try 😊

Speaking of Atami, besides the hot springs, there's now another must-visit reason—buying the "Youichian's Atami Butter An." This shop's signature item is a round, fluffy cream-filled red bean bread, with a thin, airy crust. Inside, it contains homemade red bean paste, complemented by a layer of creamy frosting. The bread is light and elastic, and the most surprising part is the cream—it doesn't have that overly sweet taste, instead offering a hint of saltiness that adds depth to the overall flavor. When it comes to red bean paste, Japanese sweets can sometimes be overly sweet, but here, the sweetness is well-balanced, and you can actually taste the texture of the beans. Even someone like me, who usually doesn't have a particular fondness for red bean paste, found this bread irresistible. At the checkout, I initially thought one or two would be enough, but after the first bite, my only reaction was: why didn't I buy more? Next time I visit Atami, the first thing I'll probably do is rush here to stock up.
