【GOK SOUND Workshop】 June 13th A "PA and Recording Workshop" was held by Yoshiaki Kondo from GOK SOUND. From 1 PM to 7 PM, we enjoyed a full six hours! In a room at GA.KOPPER (commonly known as the Sandbag Room), live PA practitioners, musicians, those recording their own songs, and people running live houses gathered. At the beginning, a very important discussion on electricity, which is essential for handling equipment. Just in time, thunder rumbled outside the window ⚡️ After a break with bagels and baked goods, we experienced mixing songs recorded on analog tape! We freely adjusted the knobs, bringing in and cutting out the sound of specific instruments, balancing the audio. Watching the analog tape spin round and seeing how the sound changed with our hands was exhilarating. In the latter half, we improvised and recorded participants' original songs. Amid the good tension of being recorded, everyone's adaptability was impressive. Listening to the sounds we played back from the tape... Before we knew it, six hours had flown by. I was glad to see the two from GOK SOUND again this year. Thank you for the live PA the following day as well!! I look forward to the day we can reunite in Nishiokoppe Village again! #Sound #PA #Recording #GOK SOUND

Fukoji Temple's Hydrangeas ❚ Blooming Status as of June 22, 2026 Fukoji Temple is located in Asaji Town, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture. It is also famous as a sightseeing spot for hydrangeas. Currently, the hydrangeas are in full bloom. We will keep you updated on the blooming status. 【Location】Upper Ozuka, Asaji Town, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture 【Access】About 10 minutes by car from JR Asaji Station 【Parking】Available (free) 【Restroom】Available ❚ Fukoji Temple The cliff-carved Buddha on the temple grounds stands about 11 meters tall, including its pedestal, making it one of the largest cliff-carved Buddhas in Japan. The central figure is Fudo Myoo (the Immovable Wisdom King). Fudo Myoo is typically depicted with an angry expression, but this cliff-carved Buddha has developed a round and gentle appearance over the years of exposure to the elements. Despite its large size, Fudo Myoo has a very approachable presence. Fukoji Temple is also known as "Hydrangea Temple" due to the numerous hydrangeas planted there. During the rainy season, visitors can enjoy the sight of many hydrangea flowers alongside the cliff-carved Buddha. The hydrangeas are cared for by the temple and the local community. ■■■ Access to the Center of Bungoono City ■■■ About 3 hours by car from JR Hakata Station in Fukuoka Prefecture About 2 hours by car from JR Kumamoto Station in Kumamoto Prefecture About 1 hour and 20 minutes by car from JR Beppu Station in Oita Prefecture About 1 hour and 20 minutes by car from JR Yufuin Station in Oita Prefecture ■■■■■■■■■■■■ Introducing recommended sightseeing spots in Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, Kyushu ■■■■■■■■■■■■

[A Village Full of Flowers] Our village hosts a beautiful event every June. This year, many villagers contributed, and pansies and marigolds were planted in the flower beds along the roads. 🌸 Villagers divided into groups for planting flowers, mowing grass, and cutting trees. We were fortunate to work under a clear blue sky without any rain showers, sweating a little as we toiled. Staff from the town hall and local construction workers also participated, helping with the preparation of seedlings, collecting finished pots, and cleaning up. I look forward to seeing the planted flowers grow vigorously, bringing vibrant colors to our village. #Flower Planting #A Village Full of Flowers #Early Summer Sunshine #Our Village's Beautiful Event
