Hokkaido Kussharo Prince Hotel

A living earth, emitting volcanic smoke. A mysterious lake emerging beyond the mist. And the memories of the Earth, resting deep within the forest. Surrounding the Kussharo Prince Hotel, you can experience the scenery that reminds us that the Earth is still alive. At Mt. Io, steam continuously rises from the ground, revealing the rugged form that the Ainu people called "the naked mountain." Lake Mashu shows its unique expressions, whether it is shrouded in mist or shining with clear blue. In the forests of Wakin Peninsula, memories born from volcanic activity 30,000 years ago lie in slumber. Why not feel the pulse of the Earth, using Kussharo Prince Hotel as your base? [Currently in Production] This year at the Woody Summer School, participants will be creating wooden tractors. The summer Woody School is like a 2-night, 3-day camp focused on making wooden crafts. This marks the 32nd edition of the event this year, which has been loved by many for many years. The woodworking instructor is currently making parts for the participants to use. In fact, it seems that one instructor is making parts for 20 tractors all by himself! 😳 Last year, we solidified ideas for this year's project and by December, we had produced a prototype. After fine-tuning while looking at the prototype, the drawings were completed by March this year, and in April, they were beautifully drafted in CAD. Since May, we have been in the process of making parts. Many innovations have been implemented to create parts with precision, and we were shown how this round contour is cut using this tool. The molds used for making wooden parts are also made of wood. The rounded board was created by gluing together four thin boards and applying pressure to bend them. We were constantly amazed by the skillful manipulation of various tools to create intricate parts during the workshop tour. To everyone planning to participate in the Woody School, please look forward to the day! ✨️ #Woodworking #Woody Summer School #Parts Production

Mr. Takuya Kurose, a Kumamoto Prefecture employee from Reihokumachi, and the experiential content production group MATH GAME from Saitama Prefecture have created a game called "One Step to Sky Blue: At the End of the Ripple" that is enjoyable with books. This work was produced as a sequel to "Beyond the Ripples," which was announced last May. On July 14, a trial play event conducted by Takushin High School students was held and received great acclaim. The game aims to convey the charm of Reihokumachi, and it is planned to be utilized for raising awareness of Reihokumachi as a tourist destination and creating a related population. 【To actually play "One Step to Sky Blue: At the End of the Ripple"】 Adjustments are underway so that it can be experienced within the town in the future, so stay tuned! Additionally, the previous work "Beyond the Ripples" is already available to play on the smartphone app "uzu," so please try to prepare before the sequel!
