There are alternative routes (free) due to the closure of National Route 127. The area near Iwaifukuro and Yokone on Nagasa Kaido in Kyonan Town is also closed. If you are heading to Kamogawa from within the town, take Prefectural Road 184 (the road with Kyonan-Toyama Interchange) at the Okuyama Entrance, then head towards Sakuma Dam. After passing the dam, turn left at the T-junction near the Okuzure Suisenkyo shop, continue along the road, and turn right at the T-junction in Yuzawa to enter Nagasa Kaido. Additionally, there are closures on the road connecting Ezuki Narcissus Road and Hota. The location of the collapse marked on the map is a reference.

Deaibashi and Todorokibashi ❚ Oita Bungoono Geopark Located in Kiyokawamachi, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, are Deaibashi and Todorokibashi. This area boasts the largest and second-largest arch spans of stone bridges in Japan, making it a very precious location. Todorokibashi measures 32.1 meters, making it the largest in Japan, while Deaibashi measures 29.3 meters, ranking second. Deaibashi was completed in 1924, built by the local residents as an important road connecting the community. Todorokibashi was completed in 1934, historically constructed as a bridge for a forest railway transporting timber. Furthermore, these two bridges have been recognized as Civil Engineering Heritage by the Japan Society of Civil Engineers for the fiscal year 2025, drawing renewed attention as historically valuable landscapes. Minagi Station on the Bobi Line in Okayama Prefecture. It is a retro station that has been carrying people and feelings since 1925 (at that time, it was the terminus of the Bobi South Line, the predecessor of the Bobi Line). There are many stations in the Chugoku region, including the Bobi Line, with such a retro atmosphere, so I would like to visit all of them someday.

Japan houses lined up in the back with the Nose Electric Railway 7200 series near Myomiguchi, the northernmost point of Osaka. I was able to talk about various things with the farmer who was working in the field, and the conversation was lively. It was quiet and rich in nature, so I want to go again.

The JTB special train “Tabimonogatari” has arrived! The JTB “Tabimonogatari” has made a stop here for three consecutive years since Reiwa 5. This year too, we welcomed guests on the station platform with about 34 minutes of hospitality. 🚃 About 60 guests enjoyed Shintoku soba tea, two kinds of soba-yu (rich soba-yu and dashi-infused soba-yu), and soba karinto, and we sold a limited assortment set. Afterward, guests took photos on the platform and in front of the station’s photo frame, and enjoyed shopping at the station shop. More than ten groups posed at the “Soba Red Photo Frame” installed immediately to the left after exiting JR Shintoku Station. At the station shop, the soba karinto offered for tasting proved so popular that it sold out. When we spoke with guests returning to the platform, we heard happy remarks like “It was very delicious” and “It goes well with tea,” with people holding soba karinto. We bade them farewell, hoping they will stop by again next year. A short announcement. From late May through late October, the shop hosts a farm-fresh vegetable stall.
