Last Friday (January 23) I went to Gokase Highland Ski Resort.
The sky was clear that day, making it not only perfect for skiing but also ideal for photography.
I warmed my freezing hands as best I could and protected my camera from the cold while shooting.
I plan to share these images unedited.

Gokase Highland Ski Resort OPEN ✨

Today (12/19), the southernmost ski resort in Japan, Gokase Highland Ski Resort, opened ❄

An opening ceremony was held from 10:00, and skiers and snowboarders who had been eagerly awaiting this day attended 🎿🏂

The slopes are limited to about half their usual width, but the snowpack is solid 💡
As temperatures drop and more snow accumulates, the slopes should reach even better conditions 😊

Sunday, March 9 was the last day of operations for Gokase Highland Ski Resort ❄️

Under a clear sky, a big prize drawing took place from 11:00 AM 🎁

Cheers erupted each time the winning numbers for lavish prizes were announced, and the drawing ended in great excitement 😆✨

There are only two days left until the start of the 39th Yubetsu Wilderness Okhotsk Cross Country Skiing Tournament! The street trees in the center of Engaru Town are decorated with welcome flags for the XC competition!

There were concerns about the lack of snow in this tournament, but thanks to the snowfall this month, it seems that the Course Maintenance is going smoothly. ☃️❄️

This is a photo of when I went skiing in Hakuba this winter. On this day, a cold wave arrived on the Sea of Japan side, and there was a severe snowstorm. Today in Gokase the sky is overcast☁️ and it’s been raining and snowing since morning, so it’s still cold🥶

By the way, Gokase Highland Ski Resort finally opened the Paradise Course for a 1,000 m run the other day⛷️✨

Gokase Highland Ski Resort

I climbed up to Gokase Highland Ski Resort today to shoot some material📸❄️

At 7:00 this morning the temperature was a whopping -14°C🤣 It was such an odd kind of cold that it made me laugh🤷‍♀️ lol

That said, the slopes were in perfect condition ⛷️✨ The wind was light and the snow was powdery and dry 🤩

Local junior high students were here today as part of their school activities, and they were happily enjoying skiing and snowboarding 🥰

The view of the ski area under the blue sky is truly beautiful 🥹✨ It feels like another world, and staring at it makes you feel drawn in…😳
