Would you like to enjoy a walk where you can experience Saijō’s unique spring water culture, known as "Uchinuki," during a peaceful season? We recommend a 2.4 km walking course along the Aquatopia water system (a waterside-friendly area), stretching from Kanon Water to the Saijō Domain Jinya Ruins. From mid-April to early May, you can enjoy beautiful seasonal scenery: wisteria blossoms at Teishō-ji Temple (Kannon Hall) near the starting point, and vibrant azaleas in the moat-side area at the endpoint, creating a beautiful harmony of flowing water and seasonal flowers. Along the way, you will find many attractive stops, including Uchinuki spring water tasting spots, cafés, sweet shops, and local farmers’ markets—perfect for a relaxing and leisurely experience. In the historic moat-side area around the Ōtemon Gate from the Edo period, a beautiful streetscape unfolds where waterside scenery blends with outstanding examples of modernist architecture, such as the local museum, folk craft museum, and a church. This unique landscape showcases the harmony of history, architecture, and pure spring water—an essential part of Saijō’s charm. At the Saijō Tourist Information Center (open year-round, 9:00–18:00), visitors can obtain a Water Walking Map and information about bicycle rentals. It is recommended as a starting point for your exploration. Hello, this is Ryusuidō. Shosenkyo Gorge is enveloped in soft new greenery, welcoming a pleasant season🌿 The weeping cherry blossoms at Shōgyokudō in the Takigami area are gradually turning into leaf blossoms, but they are doing their best to greet everyone😊 The mountain rose (yamabuki) blooming close to the rocky surface also reminds us of the season!❗️ Shosenkyo is also famous as the birthplace of the April birthstone, crystal. It can be used for everything from accessories to interior decor and is said to be a "universal stone" that brings good fortune, purification, and protection, making it suitable for anyone✨ In the Takigami area, there are many spots where you can forget your daily routine and have fun, such as the Hachushuike, where you can toss in eight balls for wishes, so please come visit Shosenkyo‼ All of our staff are looking forward to the day we can see your wonderful smiles😊

This year's cherry blossoms are coming to an end👀✨ In the end, I encountered the gently swaying weeping cherry blossoms against a backdrop of blue sky. Watching the petals flutter down makes me feel a bit lonely, but I'm glad I could capture this moment in a photo... The seasons pass quickly, but I think I will keep this spring scenery in my heart forever. Thank you for this year's cherry blossoms🌸

Toyama Castle Park is widely regarded as one of Japan’s most picturesque locations for enjoying cherry blossoms, blending natural beauty with deep historical significance. The park surrounds Toyama Castle, whose origins date back to the Sengoku period, when it functioned as a strategic stronghold under regional rulers. Although the original castle was lost to time, the present structure symbolizes Toyama’s feudal heritage and now serves as a cultural landmark within the city. The cherry‑blossom experience becomes especially memorable when viewed from a quiet, slow‑moving boat gliding along the castle moat. From this serene vantage point, visitors can fully appreciate the delicate fragrance of the blossoms, while petals occasionally drift down and gently settle around them. This harmony of history, landscape, and sensory richness creates a tranquil atmosphere that offers a timeless and deeply rewarding hanami experience.

【Koi Dancing in Komu】 The display inside the Forest Art Museum "Komu" has been updated in various ways this year. Currently, it seems that koi are swaying here and there until early May. As you pass through the entrance, you can see four large koi hanging against a backdrop of cherry blossoms. If you head to the shop corner, you can also discover small koi. Something like Setoushi-kun is wearing a helmet and has a gentle expression. There are parts not captured in the photos, so I would be happy if you visit Komu and see for yourself🎏 - 【Forest Art Museum "Komu"】 ✨️GW Festival from May 3rd to 5th✨ Opening hours: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM *Admission accepted until 4:30 PM Closed: Every Tuesday *Open on May 5th and 6th, which are public holidays *Closed on May 7th (Wednesday) Admission fee: High school students and above: 500 yen 4th grade elementary to junior high school: 300 yen Children aged 3 to 3rd grade: 100 yen Children under 3: Free Contact: 0158-87-2600 #Forest Art Museum Komu #Indoor Display #Children's Day
