February 14th I went to Okunikko’s Lake Chuzenji to photograph the splash ice. These strange formations are nature’s artworks! I found myself chuckling as I shot them—such amusing splash ice. In the past, the cliffs at Utagahama froze like Niagara Falls, and every year I come back, hopeful, to photograph the splash ice, but that breathtaking display has only happened once and I haven’t seen it for years. Is it the effect of global warming? I’ll keep coming without giving up!

Famous Winter tradition in Hokkaido It is jewelry ice. Frozen ice in the Tokachi River Swept away to the sea and washed by the waves The ice washed up on the beach, Local photographer named it The season has only just begun You can enjoy it for about a month from now. Pick up a piece of ice that is in good shape. Wash with the water or hot water you brought with you Remove sand and snow to clean it Stack or stand up There are a lot of people who take pictures. Nature is what I like best.

[💧Icefalls are beginning to form❄️] I went to see whether icefalls might be forming at Yasaka Great Falls in the Yasaka area of Omachi and at Heno Falls, also called Kumaso Falls, in the Miasa area after several cold days in Omachi City 😌 Both falls were still developing, but I was able to see them❄️ Late January through early February is the coldest time of year in Omachi City❄️ They look likely to grow even more from now on 😊 ⭐️For sightseeing in Omachi City🔽🔽🔽 https://www.kanko-omachi.gr.jp//

Projects related to the 61st Obihiro Ice Festival The 40th Hokkaido Ice Sculpture Exhibition Winter Obihiro Convention It is the "Water Dragon" selected for the Obihiro Mayor's Award. Stacked ice blocks on top of each other, Chisels, luters, heat guns, etc. I'm going to finish it with tools. When the base is inserted, the height is about 2 meters The fine beard and scales were amazing It's a warm winter this year, so this afternoon Of the 12 ice sculptures in total, 2 are Unfortunately, it collapsed. Next month, the Sapporo Snow Festival will start Once every few years, a large snow sculpture melts due to the warm air. Even during the event to ensure the safety of the audience Heavy machinery may be used to break it. If global warming continues at this rate The timing and duration of winter events, etc. Maybe it's going to change

Lake Chitose Shikotsu The Ice Festival is coming soon! The Chitose Lake Kotsu Ice Festival will be 📅held on January 28~February 23, 2023 Shikotsu-Toya National Park, about 40 minutes by car from Sapporo. The ice sculptures lining the venue are created by spraying and freezing the water of Lake Shikotsu, one of the largest in Japan. Kids are popular with the ice slides, the skating rink where you can run with long boots, and the riding experience around the venue. During the Snow Festival, on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, about 300 fireworks will be fired from 6:30 p.m. to depict the night sky, as well as Japanese taiko drumming performances. Hurry up and arrange a trip to play in Hokkaido~ In the evening, we recommend staying at Sapporo Kinyutei to enjoy your own vacation!
