The illuminated five-storied pagoda and candlelight are very fantastic. * * ~Buddhist lantern festival at Honenji Temple~ The Buddhist lantern festival is an annual Bon festival event in which the candles are lit and fire is sent to the stone lanterns of about 2,000 stone lanterns in the pitch-dark precincts of Buddhist Mountain Honenji Temple. The illuminated five-storied pagoda and candle lights are very fantastic.
