According to one theory, it is said that during the Kenkyu year (1190~1199), a man of letters also visited here, and when he was about to leave after completing his training, he could not leave because wild roses were entangled in his robe. So he took refuge in the cave again and continued his journey. Since then, the locals have called it "Bunkaku rose".
