An amateur art exhibition is being held at the Fumio Asakura Memorial Museum in Asaji, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, Kyushu.

Ukon Family Museum of Kitamaebune Shipowners — Hina Dolls
These dolls were a gift in Taisho 6 (1917) to Fukuko, the eldest daughter of the 11th head of the family, Mr. Gitaro, and his wife.
They are on display for a limited time; for details please check the Minami-Echizen Town tourism information site.

The 49th Kashiwabiraki Park Festival took place on September 21.

Due to severe weather from the night before, the event was scaled down and moved to the Lifelong Learning Center, and popular attractions such as food vendor booths and the one-tatami-shop were canceled.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who had been looking forward to enjoying the event outdoors.

Even so, many people attended for the stage events and to buy local specialties such as pears from Soma City and Taiki Wagyu. The prize draw was also a great success!

To Nishi-Izu and Tago! Boat Diving Report 🌊⛵️ on a Sunny Sunday in Autumn

The other day, we went boat diving to the popular area "Tago" in Nishi-Izu! ⛴️✨

Speaking of Tago, it is a diving spot with a wide variety of terrain and highly transparent waters. There is also good Access that can be reached on a day trip from Kanto, and it is 🙌 an area that is often requested in Hokule'a Shonan

The first one this time is the point of the open sea, "Floating Shimane off the coast".
This is one of the longest places for divers, and when you dive, you will see a spectacular fish shadow 🐟🐟🐟 in front of you!
Snapdragons and squirrels flocked and danced 🎆 like fireworks in the sea
The sight that covers one aspect of the scene will take your guests breath away ✨

And the second is to the mysterious cave point 🕳️🤿 that represents Tago.
As you walk through the Gari, the light shining in from the end of the water channel shines in fantastically, as if you have jumped 🎬💫 into a scene from a movie
The scenery of light and shadow touches my heart no matter how many times I visit. That's the real thrill of "cave diving"!

On this day, the guests who participated in the yellowtail for the first time in a long time were with us, and the calm way of diving without feeling blank was really wonderful 😀👏

And next time, it's finally the 150th dive 🎉✨ that will be memorable for the guest! Spending time thinking about "where to dive" together is also an important pleasure 💕 of diving life

Nature Contact Lecture Series at Kawayu Visitor Center
Kawayu Visitor Center will host two lectures in the Nature Contact series.
In October, Tomoko Yoshikawa, Professor Emerita of the Faculty of Agriculture at Tamagawa University, will present “Life in Volcanic Lakes: Ecological Connections of Lake Kussharo.” In December, Mitsuhiro Nakagawa, Researcher and Specially Appointed Professor in the Faculty of Science at Hokkaido University, will give a talk titled “Why Is Lake Kussharo So Shallow? The Secrets of Atosanupuri Volcano Revealed by Recent Research.”


Our region spreads around the Kussharo Caldera, shaped by major volcanic activity. Lake Kussharo, Japan’s largest caldera lake, stands as a symbol of Akan-Mashu National Park and has nurtured a wide variety of life thanks to volcanic bounty.



To take a fresh look at this special lake and share its appeal and origins, we planned these two lectures. First, an exploration of the lake’s connections with its living creatures; second, a clear explanation of volcanic findings uncovered by recent research, delivered gently by each expert.



We hope that encountering the grand natural story behind the familiar landscape of Lake Kussharo will give you a deeper understanding of and pride in the lake and the park.

This morning's higanbana, photographed in Kamitomita Town, Wakayama Prefecture, blooms like a bright red carpet every every year, but this year it blooms only sparsely due to the abnormal summer heat Squid.

It was ✨ a good way to end the first day of the trip

I could have left it as it was, but I was climbing a mountain before coming here, and there was an empty bottle of cider that I drank after descending the mountain, so I tried to take a picture with it 📸

As the Sunset sets, light pours into the empty bottle, creating an atmospheric photo 🌅
