[Winter at Aoki Lake and Nakatsuna Lake ❄️✨] On the middle day of a three-day holiday, Omachi City is sunny again today☀️ From the morning the Northern Alps were clearly visible, so I headed to Aoki Lake hoping to see the three Hakuba peaks across the water😊 The lake surface was slightly rippled, but the blue sky and the snow-capped Hakuba peaks were reflected on it🏔✨ At ao LAKESIDE CAFE, which just opened in 2024, you can enjoy meals and coffee time while taking in the lakeside view😌 Next door, Nakatsuna Lake is a spot for wakasagi (pond smelt) ice fishing🎣 In recent years warm winters have prevented the season from opening, but what about this year? \Accommodation information for Iijimamachi, Nagano Prefecture/ [Lodging × Hair Salon] muir (Mūa) A 40-year-old, sturdy vacant house with a pronounced gable-roof style. Its nostalgic yet reassuring Showa-era charm is too precious to tear down. A travel-loving husband-and-wife hairdresser team who moved here poured in every value they learned while living abroad, and gradually carried out a self-renovation. They turned the wish “If only a place like this existed” into reality. Get a cut and head spa during a drive or touring trip. Use it as a reunion base for meeting friends after a long time. Or stay as a relaxed place to catch your breath. Wakamasu Bakery 🥖 @wakamasu_bakery (Instagram) A beloved shop frequented by regulars, I visited Wakamasu Bakery. The bakery has run for three generations from the founder to the current owner, moving from the original Ina shop to Suwa, and has continued for 99 years! Today, the owner and her father bake the bread together 🍞 Wakamasu began in Ina in the great-grandfather’s time, and the shop is linked to Nagano’s soul food, the gyūnyū pan (milk bread)!!! Pop-up signs in the shop explain the products and highlight their commitment to domestic wheat and sudakito (sudaki sugar), a mineral-rich sugar made from 100% cane. Their beloved “Milk Ball” is famous, and many regulars come just for it 🥖 ・A long-time favorite, the soft French-style roll filled with milk cream: the Milk Ball ・Owner’s pick: Cream Bread filled generously with homemade custard cream ・A recent hit: Croque Monsieur with homemade béchamel sauce, ham, and cheese ・Four kinds of sandwiches and two kinds of savory baked breads are available. ◎ Wakamasu Bakery 📍 4-11-10 Kogan Street, Suwa City ☎ 0266-52-3488 ◎ Business hours: 8:00 – 16:00 ◎ Business days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday ◎ Homepage: https://www.instagram.com/wakamasu_bakery/... Regular customers are hooked on Wakamasu Bakery’s Milk Ball! The owner’s great-grandfather started Wakamasu Bakery in Ina. Wakamasu Bakery has been in business for 99 years. Later, the owner’s father moved the shop to its current location in Suwa. Today, the owner and her father bake the bread together. Between you and me, Wakamasu Bread is connected to gyūnyū pan (milk cream bread). Nowadays the owner uses domestic wheat and sudaki sugar (a Japanese sugar rich in minerals). She is particular about ingredients. These are the regular offerings: ・Regular customers come for the Milk Ball. ・The owner’s recommendation is Cream Bread with homemade custard cream. ・A recent trend is the croque monsieur with homemade béchamel sauce, ham, and cheese. ・Four kinds of sandwiches and two kinds of cooked breads. ◎ Wakamasu Bakery 📍 4-11-10 Kogan Street, Suwa City ☎ 0266-52-3488 ◎ Business hours: 8:00 – 16:00 ◎ Business days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday ◎ Homepage: https://www.instagram.com/wakamasu_bakery/...

Happy New Year 🎍 This is En'emon Denshokan. In the crisp winter air, Kanazakura Shrine, which sits at the top of Shosenkyo Gorge, drew many worshippers again this year for its reputation of bringing good financial fortune! With a week into the New Year gone, you might find a bit more time to visit and pray at a more relaxed pace 😊 This year is the Year of the Snake, and besides “improving financial luck,” it is also said to mean “seizing happiness” and “being reborn as a new self.” ✨ People also say that carrying an item related to the year’s zodiac brings better luck. At En'emon Denshokan we have snake-motif items available, so on your way back from visiting the shrine, please enjoy the scenery of Shosenkyo Gorge and stop by En'emon Denshokan. We keep the shop warm and look forward to your visit 😊

Visiting the site the handiwork of Japan craftsmen up close! Introducing 5 kilns where you can Visiting the site of Echizen pottery Workshop One of the six ancient kilns in Japan, "Echizen pottery". It has been selected as a Japan heritage site and is a traditional craft that has continued since the Heian period. Echizen Town is also known as the production area of Echizen pottery, and there are documents such as the Fukui Prefectural Pottery Museum and the Echizen Ancient Kiln Museum in Echizen Pottery Village, where you can learn about Echizen pottery I want to feel Echizen pottery even more realistically! For those who say, we recommend a direct visit to the kiln of Echizen pottery. You can actually see the handiwork of craftsmen in front of you. This time Workshop we would like to introduce five potters who accept Visiting the site. ・・・ ●Hosaigama, Mr. Yoshida He was born in Echizen Town (formerly Oda Town), the production area of Echizen pottery, so he went on to the path of pottery. Focusing on Reproduction of the colors of Nature with a sense of the seasons, I am also working hard to create works for Japanese exhibitions and contemporary craft exhibitions in addition to making ceramics. Recently, together with my son, I am working hard every day to convey the charm of Echizen pottery with two generations of parents and children. About Toyosai Kiln https://www.echizenyaki.com/en/pottery/detail.php?Num=10... https://www.instagram.com/housaigama_tougei/... ●Toseisha Izumi At the age of 35, he moved from Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture to Echizen Town, Fukui Prefecture. I like the environment where I can concentrate on creating works in the idyllic Satoyama atmosphere. Mr. Izumi is characterized by his works with a simple texture for everyday use. He is a potter who places great importance on contact with customers, such as pottery experiences on business trips. More about Toseisha https://www.echizenyaki.com/en/pottery/detail.php?Num=11... https://www.instagram.com/touseisya/... ●Furaigama / Oya Oya was born in Osohara in his Local Echizen Town (former Miyazaki Village). I grew up in a pottery family, where both my father and mother were potters. He aims to create works that are fun and relaxing to use, and his cute works with animal motifs are also eye-catching. About Furai Kiln https://www.echizenyaki.com/en/pottery/detail.php?Num=2... https://www.instagram.com/furaigama/... ●Hyuga Workshop, Hyuga-san Mr. Hinata went from being a trainee of Echizen pottery to the path of Echizen pottery, and is still encouraged to train the next generation. Echizen pottery, which tends to give a plain impression, is working on making brightly colored glazes to attract the attention of young people and urban people as much as possible. About Hyuga Workshop https://www.echizenyaki.com/en/pottery/detail.php?Num=14... ●Seedling kiln (Mishogama), Mr. Shindo While studying art at university, I wanted to create my own things, so I entered the world of ceramics, where I could create my favorite shapes with three-dimensional objects. Echizen pottery is a place where I like the freedom of the artist to have his or her own style, the climate that nurtures the artist, and the atmosphere of the land. He is characterized by his works using the powdering technique (white makeup), and continues to make everyday vessels that are rooted in the life that he wishes he had. \ Echizen Town loving writer Broadcasting the charm! / ●I want to eat deliciously this winter! Enjoy Echizen Crab in Echizen Town Echizen Crab was lifted in November. Echizen Crab is one of the specialties of Fukui Prefecture. It is also featured in brochures for tourists. Fishing starts on November 6 and is in season until mid-March. It's for a limited time, so I want people I know outside the prefecture and outside of Japan to taste it. This time, we will introduce Echizen Crab Spots that you can enjoy even on a day trip Drive. There is also advice for foreign visitors when they come. How would you answer if someone asked, "What is Echizen Crab?" Echizen Crab calls snow crab Landings in Fukui Prefecture. In the San'in region, pine needles are called ni, and in Noto and Kaga, they are called kanoga. There are three points to keep in mind when introducing Echizen Crab 1. Echizen Crab is a male snow crab. Females are called seikogani 2. A yellow tag with the name of the fishing port is attached as proof of Landings in Fukui Prefecture 3. Echizen Crab is the No.1 in Japan in terms of fishing and quality. It is also presented to the Imperial Family The facility where you can learn about crabs is the Echizen Crab Museum. It is Located in Roadside Station Echizen. This time, I went to hang out with my Chinese friends. When I asked, "Do you want to join?" he said, "I definitely want to join!" I didn't expect people to be so interested. At the Echizen Crab Museum, you can compare Echizen Crab and various types of crabs. There are also aquariums where real crabs are bred. It is highly recommended because it is easier to convey because it can be explained by actually seeing it with the eyes. You can actually see the tools used for crab fishing, and there are plenty of Documents, so you can learn a lot. There is also a coloring book and game corner for children, so it is fun to go with the family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ◎Echizen Crab Museum Location: 〒916-0422 71-324-1 Echizen Town, Nyū District, Fukui Prefecture TEL:0778-37-2626 HP:https://www.echizenkk.jp/kanimuseum... Speaking of Fukui, Echizen Crab, and speaking of Echizen Town, delicious seafood. I would like foreign customers to eat it as well. However, depending on the country or region, there is no custom of eating seafood, or it is not edible. Squid is not good for some people, so be sure to check well in advance. Of course, there are foreigners who come to Fukui to see Echizen Crab. Here are the favorites of the people I've met by country and region. Please refer to it. ・United States Many people on the Saikai coast of the United States had the opportunity to eat lobster, so there was not much resistance. Sushi is a widespread part of Japan culture, so many people like raw fish. ・China Even in China, it is a small yellowtail, but they eat crab, so Echizen Crab was happy to eat it. Crab miso and uchiko are also my favorite foods. ・Asia Tastes change depending on which region of Asia you are in. The image is that shrimp are eaten, but raw fish depends on the person. Bangladeshi children were not in the habit of eating seafood, and sashimi and fish dishes in general were not favorite. ・Australia Australia is a multi-ethnic country, and they are familiar with various food cultures on a regular basis. There are many people who like Japan sushi. Echizen Crab was also happy to eat. ・Europe There are many countries in Europe that do not have the habit of eating fish, so be sure to check carefully. Inland Australians didn't even like the smell of soup stock. Danes, who have a habit of eating salmon, also have sashimi depending on the person. If you are used to it on a regular basis, you will be desensitized to the smell of fish and the taste of dashi, so be careful when you go to the fish market. ・Israel Judaism forbids eating seafood without scales. Shrimp and crabs fall under this category, so check with Jewish people in advance. Some sects of Islam do not eat seafood such as shrimp and crabs in the same way. The food varies greatly depending on the religion, so be sure to check carefully. Let's enjoy the delicious Echizen Crab with your family and friends this winter. ◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆ This Account is the official Account of the Echizen Tourism Federation (DMO ECHIZEN). \ 2 special Soba noodles restaurants in Echizen Town, Fukui Prefecture / When you come to Fukui Prefecture, the dish you want to eat is Soba noodles. In February 2021, the online media "Netorabo" conducted a "prefecture ranking where Soba (buckwheat noodles) is delicious", and Fukui Prefecture was by far the first place. This time, we would like to introduce two Soba noodles restaurants in Echizen Town where you can eat delicious Soba noodles. ◎Enjoy Echizen pottery, gentle Soba noodles|Juwari Soba Daikonsha Soba noodles shop in Echizen Pottery Village "Juwari Soba Daikonsha". You can taste 100% Soba noodles, which are made from 100% genSoba from Fukui, and are made with stone-ground homemade flour. Utsuwa is, of course, "Echizen pottery". The Soba noodles served in a Echizen Pottery bowl in a tasteful Japan house makes you feel very elegant. One of the popular Soba noodles at Daikonsha is "Kurumi Soba noodles" Soba noodles that do not use any animal products in the soup stock and can be enjoyed even by vegans. Since it was cold, I received a warm "warm walnut". The fluffy walnut-flavored soup goes well with Soba noodles. I thought it would be sweeter, but it was easy to eat. "Pure chicken Soba noodles" is a combination of delicious pure chicken and firm broth and is very delicious. For dessert, I also received the restaurant's mother's recommended "Black Honey Soba Dango" and "Soba Scraping Zenzai". It is much softer and chewier than the Soba noodles I know. And it was as satisfying as a child's fist. But since it is Soba noodles, you can eat it easily. It is a Soba noodles restaurant that is very gentle on the body and mind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ★ Juwari Soba Daikonsha Business hours: (Weekdays) 11:00-15:00 (Weekends and holidays) 11:00-17:00 Regular holiday: Monday (the next day if it is a holiday), temporary closure Location: 〒916-0273 120-3-20 Osohara, Echizen Town, Nyū District, Fukui Prefecture TEL: (0778)32-3735 URL:https://www.soba-daikonya.com// ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ◎ Founded, Showa 29 (Showa 29), Soba noodles with full volume|Menbo Shingetsutei Founded in 1954 (Showa 29), the smiling staff welcomes you cheerfully. "Noodles" using Local spring water and buckwheat noodles "Dashi" using katsuto from Kochi Prefecture and Rishiri kelp from Hokkaido "Ingredients" that are particular about condiments Because it is a restaurant that has been around for a long time, you can enjoy delicious Soba noodles that you are particular about. I received a limited quantity of "Jumbo shrimp ten grated daikon soba" Because it is called jumbo, it is too big to fit in a bowl of Soba noodles. The batter is crispy and this alone is very satisfying. Soba noodles are also firm and aroma. Both zaru Soba (buckwheat noodles) and warm Soba noodles are really delicious. "Shrimp Tempura Egg Toji Soba (Buckwheat Noodles)" is also full of volume. The shrimp heaven is also large and there are plenty of eggs. In addition, the Soba (buckwheat noodles) menu is very substantial. All of them seem and be satisfying. There are many small size Soba noodles for children and side menus, so it is a restaurant that you want to come to with your family and friends. I also tried the staff's recommended "cold guy with sesame seeds". It is as soft as regular tofu and has a lot of sesame seeds in it, which is very flavorful. The children were flattened in no time. It is a homely Soba noodles restaurant where cheerful staff welcomes you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ★ Menbo Shingetsutei Business hours: (Weekdays) / [Lunch] 11:00~14:30 (LO14:00) [Evening] 17:00~21:30 (LO21:00) (Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays)/11:00~21:30(LO21:00) Regular holiday: Monday *Holidays will be transferred to the next day. All of the Soba noodles restaurants are attractive and delicious in their own way. Ingredients, well-thought-out recipes, and an atmosphere that suits each of them. But more than that, I and something that makes the Soba noodles delicious. The desire to entertain the guests who come to visit. The desire to convey the charm and taste of Fukui and Echizen Town. The "feelings" of the people in the restaurant were conveyed through the Soba noodles. To feel the delicious Soba noodles and the warmth of the people involved in the Soba noodles, please visit the charming Soba noodles restaurant in Echizen Town. ◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆~◇~◆ This Account is the official Account of the Echizen Tourism Federation (DMO ECHIZEN).
