Minobu-san Kuon-ji Temple 400-year-old drooping cherry trees 2025.03.30 Kuon Temple is full of highlights such as the main hall established as the head shrine of Nichiren Buddhism Nichiren Shoshu entered Mt. Minobu on May 17, 1274 (Bunei 11), and from June 17 of the same year, he made his residence in a soan in the west valley at the foot of Mt. Takatoriyama. As a result, May 17, 1274 was designated as Nichiren Shojin Minobu Entry Day, and June 17 of the same year was designated as the day of the opening of Mt. Minobu. Since then, Nichiren Shojin has been reciting the Lotus Sutra and teaching his disciples for nine years, and on November 24, 1281 (Koan 4), he abolished the old hermitage and built an Authentic Hall, which he named himself "Minobusan Myōhoin Kuon Temple". From HP Impression everywhere you look, such as the magnificent Main gate, the three gates, and the five-story pagoda. In particular, the 400-year-old drooping cherry trees that bloom in the Precincts at this time of year are a masterpiece.

Spring is the season for cherry blossom viewing. I wonder if Hachioji will see the cherry blossoms this weekend. A popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Hachioji is Fujimori Park in Taimachi. There are also many stalls! * The photo was taken when it was in full bloom last year. https://hachi-navi.com/park/parks/207269...

Introduction to a Japanese Sword Making Tour See traditional Japanese swordmaking up close! You can observe the ancient craft of swordsmithing up close at the Japanese Swordsmith Training Workshop of master swordsmith Genrokuro Matsunaga, who lives in Arao City. The technique follows a traditional process of repeatedly hammering, stretching, and folding the steel. You will surely be overwhelmed by the power and drama of watching it at close range. In addition, you can take part in a name-engraving experience, where you use a chisel to carve your name or a favorite phrase into a steel plate, as well as a sword-making experience, and you can view Mr. Matsunaga’s collection of swords, armor, and other items. Name Matsunaga Japanese Swordsmith Training Workshop Address 1907-8 Kawatari, Arao City Phone number 0968-68-2250 *Visits require a reservation. Please contact us for details.

Sweeping views of Nature in the Northern Part / This is the view seen from "DRIVE IN Rikari Kawarumi" in Nakijin Village, Okinawa Prefecture. This is an Observation decks, and it is a Spot where you can see the Warumi Strait, the Kouri Bridge, and Yanbaru in the distance. There is also a Hamburger restaurant, and there are sofas and terrace seats, so you can overlook this view while eating a Hamburger. I recommend coming in the middle of summer ^^

I went ❣️ to the Kurashiki Bikan area of Okayama Prefecture to see [Spring Night Light] Light up of Japanese umbrellas along the river was very cool and beautiful ❣️ It is 😃 a wonderful Events of [Spring evening light] in the Kurashiki Bikan district that shows a completely different face from the daytime In the daytime, the Bikan district was a very fun place with ❣️ many buildings that retain the faces of the Edo period, and there were many Souvenir shops and Restaurants in harmony with the Sea cucumber wall, historic cityscape, and rich nature I would definitely like to ❣️ go and play slowly again

I went ❣️ to "Arimatsu", a town that is Located inside Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture but retains the faces of the Edo period Arimatsu was a teahouse settlement between Chiryu no Shuku and Narumi inn inn on the former Tokaido Highway that connected Edo and Kyoto, and flourished as a tie-dye production area, and was the perfect place ❣️ for a kimono trip It is a wonderful town where you can touch the atmosphere of the Edo period. I was 😃 exposed to a lot of cultural techniques and things in Japan, such as facilities where you can experience tie-dyeing, museums, and merchant's houses

This is ❣️ the view from the moat of Hikone Castle in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture The houseboat of Hikone Castle's moat Roux was also operatedThe stone walls, 😊 water gates, Turrets and the national treasure Hikone Castle keep were ❣️ magnificent The three-layer structure of [Ishigaki], [Earthen mound], and [Ishigaki], which can be seen along the inner moat near the main gate of Hikone Castle, is called a bowl-maki waist-maki stone wall, and it seems to be ❣️ a special stacking method that can only be seen in a small number of castles (Edo Castle and part of Aizuwakamatsu Castle) If you look at it while strolling from the outside, you can clearly see that the stone wall is in the shape of three beautiful bands. Looking at the beautifully stacked stones, I felt 😃 that the people of Japan in the past were particular about the meticulousness and delicacy If you go to Hikone Castle, please enjoy ❣️ the beauty of not only the castle tower but also the moat and stone walls
