[English/Japanese] Hachioji is famous for Mt. Takao. You can see Mt. Takao from school. The other day I climbed Mt. Takao on a school excursion. The autumn leaves were still at their peak, and the view from the lift was excellent. You can also enjoy the scenery along the path to the summit, including finding a rare cedar tree. It was a clear day, so Mt. Fuji was easy to see. I recommend visiting on weekdays when there are fewer people. Hachioji is known for Mt. Takao. Mt. Takao can be seen from the school. The other day I climbed Mt. Takao on a school field trip. The autumn foliage was still present, and the view from the lift was very nice. On the way to the summit you can enjoy the scenery, such as discovering a rare cedar tree. Because it was a sunny day, Mt. Fuji was clearly visible. Weekdays are less crowded and recommended.

Chiba Kamogawa Onsen Rian. At Rian, you can enjoy the special salt with the strong steak at dinner. All of this salt is made by hand in Katsuura and is often backordered. Salt made with seawater on the day of the full moon "Full Moon Hour". This salt impressed the board length. Please enjoy it with delicious meat. Made with seawater assembled on the day of the new moon, the "New Moon Hour" has a completely different taste from the time of the full moon. Strange, isn't it? At Lian, the new moon tick is also served to customers for tasting. Please ask the staff. There is no souvenir corner yet, but we sell this salt and the proprietress's recommended "warabi mochi" that you enjoy at check-in. This product is not for sale in the store. It is a dish that is sure to be appreciated as a souvenir! !! Warabi mochi 6pcs ¥1,800 Salt 100g ¥1,300

『Blue bird』 With the hope that the blue bird will bring happiness. Washi art carefully finished one by one from washi paper, pulp art blade lamps were made. The stand was designed in the image of a bird's toe. It is designed for indirect lighting that glows LEDs with batteries, and it is very beautiful when lit in a room at night. The light through the washi paper envelops the space with soft light. We are exhibiting at the "Merry Christmas" exhibition at ARTS RUSH, Gallery ARTS RUSH in Daikanyama, Tokyo, which started today. Across the street from the school is Koujiya Hachioji, a shop specializing in rice koji. Rice koji is rice malt made by cultivating fungi on cooked rice, and it is used in many Japanese dishes. It was very cold in Hachioji today, so I ordered a hot rice koji smoothie. Its gentle sweetness warmed my chilled body and left me feeling refreshed. In Japan, both adults and children often drink amazake, made from rice malt, during winter. When I tell foreign students this, they are surprised and ask, "Children drink sake too?" Amazake is called “sake,” but some varieties contain no alcohol. Please give it a try.

With thoughts to fly into a wonderful world When I saw the Japanese paper with long fibers that become fluffy when torn into pieces, I wanted to make feathers. I still can't forget the joy I felt when I used the skills my master taught me to make washi paper feathers.   I think that pulp and washi still have a lot of unknown potential, so I am working on my production activities while keeping an eye on what I can do new or what can be used as a hint for production.

"Mizutamaten" In the summer of Kamakura, the warm weather of Mizutama colors the city. My works of pulp art and washi art were exhibited at the Kamakura Sculpture Museum. We displayed it using Japanese paper dyed according to the color of Mizutamaten so that the work could be seen beautifully from the wide window. I was happy that everyone at the Kamakura Sculpture Museum and craftsmen kindly welcomed me from different genres. Even after the Mizutamaten period, they held a special exhibition with the craftsmen of Kamakura carving, and many people saw the works. Thank you very much. The Kamakura Sculpture Museum is about a 5-minute walk from Enoden Wadazuka Station toward the sea. In the hall, works elaborate by craftsmen are exhibited and sold. You can also experience it if you make a reservation. Please come to Kamakura. ♪ Highly recommended 〒248-0014 3-4-7 Yuigahama, Kamakura City secretariat TEL 0467 23-0154 >>>>> Open Tuesday ~ Friday 9:30~16:30 Sat/Sun・Holidays 11:00~16:00 Regular holiday : Monday If Monday is a national holiday, Tuesday is closed ◆We will be closed for about a week during the year-end and New Year holidays, spring, and summer. Chiba Kamogawa Onsen Rian. It opened on August 8, 2022. From your room, you can see the morning sun rising from the Pacific Ocean in front of you. The open-air bath while watching the morning sun is the best. The sunlight reflected in the water basin in front of you is also beautiful, and the sound of the wind and sea invites customers to relax. If you walk on the deck connected to the open-air bath, there is a sofa, so you can relax while looking at the sea. "There is no large bath in Lian." That's because I want you to spend a private and relaxing time. An open-air bath with your favorite sake in hand... While talking to the people I love... Treat yourself... We look forward to seeing you there.
