Lake Chitose Shikotsu The Ice Festival is coming soon! The Chitose Lake Kotsu Ice Festival will be ?held on January 28~February 23, 2023 Shikotsu-Toya National Park, about 40 minutes by car from Sapporo. The ice sculptures lining the venue are created by spraying and freezing the water of Lake Shikotsu, one of the largest in Japan. Kids are popular with the ice slides, the skating rink where you can run with long boots, and the riding experience around the venue. During the Snow Festival, on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, about 300 fireworks will be fired from 6:30 p.m. to depict the night sky, as well as Japanese taiko drumming performances. Hurry up and arrange a trip to play in Hokkaido~ In the evening, we recommend staying at Sapporo Kinyutei to enjoy your own vacation!
