今日紹介するのは八王子駅から徒歩5分のインドネシア料理のお店「クタバリカフェ」。 本校の学生がよく通っています。 本格的なインドネシア料理を楽しむことができます。 ハラルフードなのでクラスメートと食事をするときも、何も気を使わなくてとてもいいと学生たちは話しています。 こちらの料理は辛さも調節できるので、辛いものが苦手な人でも食べることができます。 私は麺がとてもおいしいと思いました😊

八王子駅から徒歩5分のところに新しく酒造がオープンしました！ まだ製品化はしていないそうですが、これからお店ができたりと、どんどん発展していくそうです。 駅から近くで、にぎやかな街中にある酒造はとてもめずらしいですよね。 留学生にとっても日本の伝統的な「酒」を身近な場所で知ることができるいい機会になります。

学校から歩いて15分のところに、徳川家康の家臣「大久保長安」ゆかりの神社があります。 大久保長安は八王子の街づくりをしたことが有名で、ブラタモリでも取り上げられたそうです。 ここでは頻繁に大久保長安に関するイベントが行われています。 6月17日にも行われるそうなので、お近くの人はぜひ行ってみてくださいね。 八王子には歴史的な建物などが多くあるため、授業でも歴史の勉強をしてから見学することがあります。 私たちの学校は日本語だけではなく、地域について、日本の歴史についても教えています。

八王子駅から徒歩15分の「夢美術館」で開催されている「ミュシャ展」に行きました。 夢美術館は年間数回訪れていますが、ミュシャ展は他の展覧会と比べると男性客が多かったです。 やはり美人画をみたい男性が多いのでしょうか。 以前に他の美術館でもミュシャ展を見ましたが、規模は狭いものの、有名な作品も多く、絵画だけではなく、当時のお菓子のパッケージに印刷されたものまで展示されており充実の内容でした。 美術館の中は写真撮影が可能だったのもうれしかったです。 グッズも豊富にそろっており、思わずたくさん買ってしまいました。 この八王子夢美術館は中学生以下は無料で見ることができます。 また、年間パスポートは1400円でかなりお得です。 八王子は自然も豊かだけではなくショッピングも楽しむことができるし、色々な文化に触れることができます。 八王子でぜひ日本語を勉強してみませんか？

やっと学生が全員入国したので、入学式を行いました！ スリランカの民族衣装「オサリ」とネパールの民族衣装「サリー」がとても素敵でした。 これから2年間、夢をかなえるために日本語を勉強します。 ぜひ応援よろしくお願いします✨

学校から歩いて1分、郵便局の上にアジア食材のお店がオープンしていました！ 野菜や冷凍食品も売られていて、店内は広くてとても見やすかったです。 お店の人におすすめのお菓子を聞きました。 写真にあるのはベトナムのソフトキャンディです。 このソフトキャンディは若いもち米で作られています。 ほんのり甘くて懐かしい味がします。 留学生は入国したてのときはこのような海外の食材店を利用する人がとても多いです。 八王子は市内にこのようなお店が何件もあるので、外国人にとって住みやすい街だと言えます。

At this sales place, rare vegetables from the Tama area are sold, and there is a wide variety of them, so it is fun just to look around 😊International students often take advantage of these unattended vegetable sales. The principal of our school also has a farm in Hachioji City, and he is often asked by foreigners to sell their produce. When I asked the students about it, they said it looks fresher and tastier than the ones sold in supermarkets. I encourage everyone to try these rare vegetables that can only be found in the Tama area. 以前紹介した甘納豆屋さんの向かいには八王子でも有名な銭湯があります。 その銭湯では野菜の無人販売を行っています。 この販売所では珍しい多摩地区の野菜などが売っていて、種類も豊富で見ているだけでも楽しいです😊留学生はこのような無人販売の野菜を利用することが多いです。 本校の校長も八王子市内で畑をもっていますが、よく外国人から売ってくれと言われるそうです。 学生たちに聞くとスーパーで売っているものよりも、新鮮でおいしそうだと言っていました。 ぜひみなさんも多摩地区でしかとれない珍しい野菜を食べてみてくださいね。

They said that when they live alone away from their country, just being able to call out to them makes them feel less sad. 西八王子駅の前にある八百屋さんです。 このお店は現在お休みをしていますが、みんなから応援のメッセージが書いてある貼り紙がありました。 みんなに愛されているお店なんですね。 読んでいてとてもあたたかい気持ちになりました。 西八王子にはスーパーがたくさんありますが、このような小さなお店もあります。 本校の学生も小さなお店屋さんならではのコミュニケーションを楽しみに利用することがあると言っていました。 国から離れて一人で暮らしていると、声をかけてもらえるだけで寂しい気持ちが薄れるそうです。

DARIME" is written "forty-five" in Chinese characters. It is said that it is a secret word that sushi chefs understand. Standing-only buckwheat noodles are famous, but sushi is rare. I went there at lunch time, but there were only female customers. Sushi is also popular among foreign students. You will be surprised that they know more about it than their teachers! 学校から徒歩2分、西八王子の駅前に立ち食いのお寿司屋さんがあります。 名前は「だりめ寿司」です。 「だりめ」は漢字で「四十五」と書くそうです。 お寿司屋さんにはわかる隠語だそうですよ。 立ち食い蕎麦は有名ですが、お寿司は珍しいですよね。 お昼時に行きましたが、女性のお客さんばかりでした。 お寿司は留学生にも人気があります。 食べるのはもちろんですが、アルバイト先に寿司屋を選ぶ学生もとても多いです。 そのため、どんな日本語よりも先に魚の名前を覚えます。 教師よりも詳しいので驚きます！

Kanro natto is a Japanese sweet made by boiling down beans in molasses and sprinkling sugar on them. Mitsubashi's natto is very carefully made and has an elegant taste. When I talked about natto to foreign students, they all reacted to the word "natto" and made a disgusted face. There are so many foreigners who do not like natto. But when I explain it properly, they all say they would love to try it. Since there are many bean snacks in Southeast Asia, they are interested in kanro natto. They don't sell kanro natto in midsummer, so if you are interested in kanro natto, please go there before summer. 学校から歩いて15分のところに甘露納豆専門店の「みツ橋」さんがあります。 甘露納豆は豆を糖蜜で煮詰めて砂糖をまぶした和菓子です。 「みツ橋」さんの甘露納豆はとても丁寧に作られていて、上品な味がしました。 留学生に甘露納豆の話をすると、「納豆」という言葉に反応して、みんな嫌そうな顔をします。 外国人で納豆が嫌いな人はとても多いです。 でも、きちんと説明するとみんなぜひ食べてみたいと言います。 東南アジアには豆のお菓子が多いので、甘露納豆が気になるそうです。 甘露納豆は真夏は販売していないそうなので、気になる方は夏になる前に行ってみてくださいね。

The statue in the photo is famous because a kingfisher once perched on its shoulder. Hachioji is not only rich in nature, but also has many historical sites. At school, before visiting such historical places, students have classes to learn about the history of Hachioji. [English／日本語] The most famous gourmet food in Hachioji is ramen. It is so well known among ramen lovers that there is even a type of ramen called "Hachioji Ramen. Unlike other ramen, "Hachioji Ramen" uses a large amount of onions in its broth. In Nishi-Hachioji, there is a Hachioji Ramen restaurant called "Goemon" where people stand in line. It is a 3-minute walk from Nishi-Hachioji Station, so it is very close to the school. I tried it for the first time the other day! It was a very tasty ramen with the sweetness of onion, just like "Hachioji Ramen". The international students at the Japanese language school like ramen very much. [English／日本語] The other day I had lunch at Hokkaido Soup Curry Workshop Seven West, a 3-minute walk from Nishi-Hachioji Station. I chose the sweet curry, but it was quite spicy and I could taste a variety of spices. The chicken on the bone, which was cooked so well that it fell apart when touched with chopsticks, was the best part. Most of the students enrolled in our school are from Southeast Asia. Almost all of them have "curry" in their countries. When I show the students how to make Japanese home-style curry, they are surprised at how different it is from their own country. And they are even more surprised when they learn that there is another type of curry in the same country, Hokkaido Curry! 先日、西八王子駅から徒歩3分のところにある「北海道スープカリー工房セブンウェスト」でお昼ご飯を食べました。 カレーは甘口を選びましたが、けっこう辛く、色々なスパイスを感じられてとてもおいしかったです。 お箸でさわっただけで崩れてしまうほど煮込まれた骨付きチキンが最高でした。 本校に在籍している学生のほとんどが東南アジアです。 ほとんどの国で「カレー」があります。 学生たちに日本の家庭的なカレーの作り方を教えると、自分たちの国との違いに驚きます。 また、同じ日本でも北海道カレーという種類があるのを知るとさらに驚きます！

This wagashi is very delicious with lots of sweet bean paste stuck inside. The face of the cat in this "Nekoyaki" is said to be modeled after a beckoning cat cat figurine that survived the Hachioji air raid. The beckoning cat is displayed in a store near this "Soto Terrace. There are several places and things related to the war in Hachioji. At our Japanese language school, we sometimes talk about the Hachioji Air Raid in class. Why don't you come and learn Japanese in a city with a rich history? この前の記事に書いた八王子の伝統文化を発信するスポット「桑都テラス」の中にある、「猫間」という和菓子のお店で「ねこやき」を紹介します。 この和菓子は、中にあんこがたくさんつまっていてとてもおいしいです。 この「ねこやき」の猫の顔は八王子空襲のときに焼け残った招き猫（猫の置物）がモデルになっているそうです。 招き猫はこの「桑都テラス」の近くにあるお店に飾ってあります。 八王子には戦争に関係する場所やものがいくつかあります。 私たちの日本語学校でも授業で八王子大空襲について取り上げることがあります。 みなさんも歴史のある街で日本語を学んでみませんか。

I think it's a great city for foreign students to learn about Japanese culture! 昨年11月にオープンした八王子の伝統文化を発信するスポット「桑都テラス」に行きました。 八王子駅から徒歩7分。 花街の小さな道を通るとたどりつきます。 私が訪れたのは夜だったのでとても静かな雰囲気でしたが、休日はイベントをしていてとても賑やかなんだそうです。 素敵なお店があり、かわいいお菓子を買いました。 買ったお菓子は次回報告しますね。 八王子は古い街なので、伝統文化を伝えるイベントや場所が多くあります。 留学生にとっては日本文化を知るのにとてもいい街だと思います！

高尾山薬王院奥之院からさらに進むと、富士浅間社があります。 これは戦国時代に北条氏康が、高尾山に富士浅間大菩薩を勧請したものです。 全国時代、敵国の配置により、この地から富士詣に行けない人々のために、富士山を見ることができるこの高尾山に、富士浅間大菩薩を勧請して、富士山まで行かなくても、同じご利益を得られるようにしたのです。 だったこれだけの距離を生けずに終わる人生もあったのだと、平和なこの時代に生まれてよかったと思いました。

[English／日本語] The other day I bought a French pastry called "Galette des Rois" at "Patisserie Tatsuya Sasaki" just a 4 minute walk from Nishi Hachioji! It is famous in France as a cake eaten on January 6. The cake is not only delicious but also enjoyable, as there is a ceramic doll inside the cake and the person who wins it can become a king. What do you do on New Year's in your country? Most of our international students have their New Year's in February or April! They have a very lively time, eating the country's traditional food and having festivals. When a new year starts, you will feel renewed 😊We wish you all a happy new year! 先日西八王子から歩いて4分のところにある「パティスリータツヤササキ」で「ガレット・デ・ロア」というフランス菓子を買いました！ フランスでは1月6日に食べるケーキとして有名です。 ケーキの中に陶器でできた人形が入っていて、それがあたった人が王様になれるというおいしいだけではなく、楽しむこともできます。 みなさんの国では新年に何をしますか？ 本校の留学生のほとんどは新年が2月や4月に来ます！ 国の伝統的な料理を食べたり、お祭りをしたりととても賑やかに過ごすそうです。 新しい年が始まると気持ちも新しくなりますよね😊みなさん今年もよろしくお願いします。

高尾山の聖域の入口、浄心門から景色はさらにがらりと変わります。 浄心門は「両部鳥居」というかたちの鳥居になっています。 高尾山薬王院は寺院ですが、鳥居があるなど神仏習合のスタイルがみられます。 かつては神社とお寺は別れていなかったのですから、高尾山が特殊なのではなく、こちらこそあるべき姿なのかな、と思います。 浄心門のそばにある、神変堂では、神変大菩薩役行者が祀られています。 神変堂を過ぎて少し歩いていくと、「男坂」と「女坂」があります。 女坂は緩やかなのですが、男坂は108段の階段があります。 108とは、煩悩の数。 男坂の手前の崖がなんとも風情がありまして。 山がどこもかしこもきれいで、どこを切り取っても絵になるのです。 大好き、高尾山！

#高尾山登山道一号路 の男坂を登り切ると、「苦」という字が表現された白い #苦抜け門 があります。 この奥にこそ、高尾山屈指のパワースポットがあったのです。 煩悩を消すことを念じながら三密の道を歩くようにと看板に書かれていました。 三密の道を抜けると、美しい白い建物が見えます。 これはお釈迦様の骨が収められている #仏舎利塔 。 タイの王室から送られたため、このようなエキゾチックで美しい造りなのだと納得です。 仏舎利塔の両側にいらっしゃる観音様を見るだけでも心が洗われます。 向かって左側にいらっしゃるのは #子育観音 様です。 聖母マリアのように赤ちゃんを抱いています。 こちらの写真は、右側に立っていらしゃる #延命観音 様。 後ろに咲く椿4月に行きましたも相まって、その美しさに動きが止まりました。 せっかく登るなら、ぜひ苦抜け門を抜けて、三密の道を歩いて、美しい観音様にお会いして下さいね。
