It is also known as "Chrysanthemum Festival", but since chrysanthemums are used as medicinal herbs and are said to be beneficial for health and longevity, there was a custom of decorating and celebrating chrysanthemum flowers during the festival of Chongyang. At this shrine every year, only on this day, the sacred treasure "Enku Buddha" is open to the public.
