At Ani River Park in Kitaakita City, Akita Prefecture. There are many places in Tohoku that are famous for their beautiful cherry blossoms, but there are also magnificent rows of cherry blossom trees here. In a quiet country town surrounded by mountains, you can enjoy the cherry blossoms while listening to the sound of the river flowing. Famous spots are good, but the cherry blossoms seen in a quiet place where there are not many people are also exceptional.

Akita prefecture is a breathtaking destination that boasts of magnetic wilderness and a perfect climate for growing the most delicious apples you have ever tasted. During my recent visit to the Yokote Kamakura Festival, my eyes were caught by the sight of sugar-coated, bright-red Akita apples that looked incredibly tempting. Without second thoughts, I grabbed one and took a bite. The sweetness was unlike anything I had ever tasted before, and it left me craving for more. It was truly an exhilarating experience!

"The Tree That Saved My Life" This is "Isehama Beach" in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture. On March 11, 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake caused a massive tsunami, and miraculously, several people climbed this tree and saved their lives, so it is called "the tree that saved lives."

A lifetime experience. Staying inside an igloo and watching beauty of Japanese architecture is a really lifetime experience. I went to Yokote city in Akita to spent sometime inside an igloo since it was my childhood dream. From the inside of the igloo I was able to the Yokote castle and multiple small igloo which really give me an extra joy. A very unique experience in my life. This year due to the global warming it is very hard to create and maintain the igloos but still the Yokote city people really work hard to maintain it. Not only that the local peoples are very friendly and approach me and talk with me. During their festival they also shared some of their instrument with me and ask me to give a try. Although I could not play it properly but it gave me immense joy and happiness. I wish next year there will be lot snowfall and many people will visit Yokote to enjoy the igloo and communicate with the most friendly people of Japan.

It is the Hanakiri River in Tohoku Town, Kamikita District, Aomori Prefecture. It is a stream that leads to Lake Ogawara and is famous for trout fishing. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom on both banks, and on days when there is no wind, it becomes a water mirror as shown in the photo. According to the neighbors, the swan in the photo seems to be a swan that lives here. They were swimming gracefully as if they were cherry blossom viewing.

It is a beautiful sunrise in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture. The building you can see in the back is a restaurant called "Kofunato". This place was caught in the tsunami during the Great East Japan Earthquake, but miraculously escaped total destruction despite the damage. It's a restaurant that is loved by the locals, and it's a very good place, so I'm really glad it's back.

The photo shows "Osaki Hachimangu" in Aoba Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture The shrine hall (main shrine, stone room, worship hall) is designated as a national treasure, and is famous for its naked worship at the "Donto Festival" held on January 14 every year.

This photo was taken at the fireworks festival at the end of July last year Even though I only had a mini tripod at that time, I could only stand and see where I could get it, so I did my best for 10 seconds of hand-held SS (laughs).

Early morning in Kitaakita City, Akita Prefecture. It was a cold morning down to -10°C, but thanks to that, the air was very clear. No matter how many times you go, you will be healed by the calm atmosphere unique to the countryside.

This is a night view of the factory of Kosaka Refining Co., Ltd., located in Kosaka Town, Kazuno District, Akita Prefecture. The factories surrounded by snow-covered mountains are a very impressive scenery. There are various factories all over the country, but the factories in the snow country are also beautiful.

At Mt. Hachiman in Shichinohe Town, Aomori Prefecture. It seems that this place used to operate under the name of Lavender Village, but now it has gone out of business. It is a wonderful place with a building that does not look like Japan. Now a solar panel has been installed next to it, and I can't go inside. It is said that photography is a once-in-a-lifetime event, but I am really glad that I took it when I could.

The Akita Inland Railway runs through Kitaakita City, Akita Prefecture. It is a scene unique to heavy snowfall areas. It is a local line with a basic one-car train, but it is very cute to see it running in a wonderful scenery.

Sendai Pageant of Light

It is a temple called "Korinji" located in the Tome region of Miyagi Prefecture. It was designated as an important cultural property of Miyagi Prefecture in Showa 47, and is said to be the second oldest wooden building in Miyagi Prefecture. During the season, many people gather to catch a glimpse of this beautiful approach, and especially in autumn, the scenery of autumn leaves and ginkgo biloba shows a wonderful view. Depending on the timing, you can see a carpet of red autumn leaves.

The photo shows the temple grounds in Watari Town, Watari District, Miyagi Prefecture. This is a temple where you can enjoy wonderful scenery throughout the season, with autumn leaves in autumn, lotus flowers in summer, and beautiful fresh greenery in spring. In the precincts, there is a shiinoki tree that is more than 700 years old and a tsubrajii tree that is more than 300 years old, and it is designated as a natural monument designated by Miyagi Prefecture.

I took a picture at "Entsuin" in autumn. Entsuin Temple is a temple of the Rinzai sect of Myoshinji Temple adjacent to Zuiwaji Temple in Matsushima-cho, Miyagi Prefecture (Matsushima, Three Views of Japan), and is also designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. You can enjoy not only the autumn leaves but also the scenery of the four seasons here, and there is also a kimono rental plan during the season, which is very popular with people from overseas.

Located in the southern part of the Oga Peninsula, "Unozaki Coast" This place is registered as one of the "100 Best Beaches in Japan" and is a superb view spot representing Oga where you can see a superb view like the Salar de Uyuni. This beach is a shallow beach, which is rare in Japan, and it is a beach where families with children can play with peace of mind. In the evening, you can see an even more beautiful view with the brilliance of the setting sun.

Magan takes off all at once at sunrise This is "Izunuma", which straddles Kurihara City and Tome City in Miyagi Prefecture, and is a wild bird spot famous for the large number of magan geese flying in from the end of October every year. In particular, "Izunuma and Uchinuma" are said to be the best migratory bird flying places in Japan, where about 80% of the geese that come to Japan spend. It is especially famous for its early morning flight and evening roosting, and the scenery is so spectacular that it is popular with non-birdwatchers.

Chusonji Temple, one of the most popular temples in Tohoku It is a temple of the Tendai sect Tohoku Daihonzan located in Hiraizumi Town, Nishiiwai District, Iwate Prefecture. In 2011, it was registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site. Chusonji Temple is famous for its gorgeous golden hall, but there are many other attractions such as Benkei-do, Yakushi-do, and Hondo. 　 By the way, the photo is "Benzaitendo" in the precincts of Chusonji Temple. It is said that it was donated in 1705 by Senhime of the Sendai feudal lord Date Tsunamura. This is a famous photo spot that is crowded with photographers.

"Ginzan Onsen" where you can enjoy Taisho romantic buildings and hot spring district in each of the four seasons It is a hot spring village located in Obanazawa City, Yamagata Prefecture. It seems that there are more foreign tourists than Japanese now, and this nostalgic sight is irresistible to foreigners.

Houmei Shiju Hachitaki Falls at the entrance of Sakunami Onsen called Sendai's Okuzashiki. Waterfalls of various sizes are lined up, and it is said that the name comes from the sound of the "phoenix", which is said to be a legendary bird. The autumn leaves and fresh greenery are truly spectacular.

There are several climbing routes, but the one that is easier from the Miyagi Prefecture side is the central route. The other Higashikurikoma route will be muddy, so be careful.
