The 40th Murakoshima Festival*** Participatory events for stage performances. The "Mura Koshima Festival" full of plans was very exciting thanks to you! !! Due to the rain forecast, it was held indoors this year. I was very happy that many people from inside and outside the village came to visit. ↓ We will introduce some of the contents of the festival ↓ ――The opening was colored by the local brass band junior high school Nishikobu. The recorder playing by the first and second graders is probably because they usually play brass instruments. I felt comfortable with a very beautiful tone. ● In the "woodcutter competition" that is held every year A project in which four people compete in pairs to cut logs with a saw. This year, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the event, they chose a log with a diameter of 40 cm. Both the cheering voices and the moderator's commentary were enthusiastic. ●Another participatory project was implemented for the first time this year. "Blindfolded Milk Perfect Chu-Chu-! Competition" 🐄 Blindfolded challengers aim to match the specified number of grams It is a competition to drink grass-fed milk, which is a specialty of Nishiokoppe. While not seeing, while anticipating the remaining amount The sight of the challengers drinking milk seriously was surreal and interesting. -The trio of the stage performance was enka singer Kenji Niinuma. Gentle voices echoed throughout the venue, and it was a spectacular stage. Just recently, I was listening to "Headlights" with my grandmother. It was exciting to hear her singing live. ********************************** The seasons change, but there are signs of events after autumn ...

It's not a summer festival, but... We filmed Hiroshima's traditional event "Touro Flow" Touro Float is a traditional event in Hiroshima City to commemorate the victims of the atomic bomb and pray for peace. My great-grandfather was an A-bomb victim. I am a fourth-generation A-bomb survivor. Even now, after the death of my grandparents, I still carry on my thoughts and play it every year. This year, for the first time in four years, the regular event has been held, and the "hand-flowing touro" that you can play yourself has also been revived. I can't call it a festival, but I post it because it was a memorial service. Colorful lanterns with 😌☘️🕊 thoughts of peace from all over the world

Kagawa Prefecture Megijima "Sumiyoshi Shrine Grand Festival" festival dedicated to the god of the island – The shrine festival at Megijima island There is a surprisingly unknown island culture Kagawa Prefecture and in Takamatsu City Megijima and Ogijima take turns holding a summer festival every year, carrying a drum stand made of ropes handed down in Isshi Sōden and parading around the island. As the name suggests, the god of the island is a woman, and it has been handed down as a festival forbidden to women since ancient times so as not to be jealous. Drum stands are dropped and rolled wildly toward the gods, and at the end of the festival, the drum stands go into the sea. It seemed difficult to go through the small torii gate.

When I visited Megijima for the first time in a long time, a festival was being held on that day, so I took a picture. A festival dedicated to the god of the island "Sumiyoshi Shrine Grand Festival" The shrine festival at Megijima island There is a surprisingly unknown island culture Kagawa Prefecture and in Takamatsu City Megijima and Ogijima take turns holding a summer festival and parading around the island carrying a drum stand made of ropes handed down in Isshi Sōden. Drum stands are dropped and rolled wildly toward the gods, and at the end of the festival, the drum stands go into the sea. It's a small festival, but I hope that traditional culture and festivals like this will be passed on to future generations so that they do not decline.
