♨ Notice ♨️ of "New Year's Day Opening" Yosei Onsen will be open on January 1, 2024 for "New Year's Day"! If the weather is nice, you can soak in the hot springs and watch 🌅 the first sunrise over the Pacific Ocean How about the first hot spring of the new year at the late hot spring with a view of the sea? The hot water of the late hot spring is one of the most concentrated "iodine springs" in Japan. In addition, it is reputed that the body continues to be squishy and it is difficult to cool the water. I took the Enoden from Kamakura Station and walked around Enoshima. At the end of the day, be impressed by the view of the Shonan Sea dyed in the sunset and Mt. Fuji! Nearby beaches such as Shichirigahama and Yuigahama are crowded with surfers, and many people are equipped with hooks to hook surfboards on bicycles and scooters. I got a train on Enoshima Electric Railway from Kamakura and walked around Enoshima island. At end of the day, you can enjoy beautiful twilight sight of Mt. Fuji and sea of Shounan (Southern Kanagawa). Many people enjoy surfing at Shichirigahama or Yuigahama beach and they equip luggage hook on their bicycle or scooter.

🌊 Do you know what a pillbox is? 🌊 "Pillbox" means "dot or point" in Russian, and is a small defensive position made of concrete or other materials to protect a militarily important base. Many pillboxes on the Pacific coast of Taiki Town were built at the end of the Pacific War in preparation for the landing of U.S. troops on the mainland, but they were never used and the war ended. Many of them still exist because they are made of solid concrete, etc., and although they have been eroded by waves, rain and wind, they still remain as historically valuable war ruins. Some are by the sea, some are half buried in the sand, some are inland, and so on. The pillbox, which is called "Asahihama's pillbox" and is surrounded by windbreaks, is maintained and can be visited, so please go there. ⚠️ There are many places around the pillbox that have bad roads, such as sandy beaches, so please be careful when going by car.

Japanese: Scenery of the "Coast Course" walking along the coastline where you can see the Tsumekizaki Lighthouse from the Suzaki promenade: Seaview of the Tsumegizaki Lighthouse and fierce waves (Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Tsumekizaki) English: Seascape of the Tsumekizaki Lighthouse and Crashing Waves: panoramic view of Tsumekizaki Lighthouse from the Susaki Promenade’s "coastal course" located along the Izu coastline in Shimoda on the southwestern coast of the Izu Peninsula. Cape Tsumeki in Shimoda, Shizuoka Prefecture, is located within a 2- to 3-hour drive from Tokyo (depending on traffic) and has a large parking lot that only costs 500 yen on weekdays. From Tokyo Station, you can take a bullet train to Atami, then take the JR commuter train to Izu-Kyu Shimoda Station. From there, you can take Tokai Bus to the Tsumekizai Bus Stop. Total commute is about 3 hours. #Cool Japan #Photo Contest #Suzaki Promenade #Tsumekizaki Lighthouse #Tsumekizaki #Izu Peninsula #Shizuoka #Seascape Photo #SuzakiPromenade #CapeTsumeki #IzuPeninsula #ShizuokaPrefecture #Japan
