"Gyugyutto, a compact roundup of tourist information" At the recent Okhotsk Fair held at Chi-Ka-Ho we distributed an A4 double-sided summary of Nishiokoppe Village tourist information. Eat, stay, play, shop… I thought about what first-time visitors to Nishiokoppe Village would want to know and carefully selected information, so I decided to post it on social media too! 〇 Access Since the event venue was sapporo station I looked into travel options from sapporo station to Nishiokoppe Village. It takes about four to six hours by car 🚙 It’s a bit of a short road trip. There are gas stations in the village, so you can feel reassured if you come by car 🙌 〇 Eat, stay, play… Some facilities are open only in summer. In addition to the images, there are events and outdoor activities you can enjoy in nature. 〇 Souvenirs You can buy souvenirs not only at Roadside Station Kamu and Hotel Rimu but also at local shops. CAPO Marche We visited Ooyachi CAPO in March, and we’re going again this month! The CAPO Marche runs for four days from Friday, December 12th to Monday, December 15th. On the first two days, booths will feature Rausucho, Makubetsu, Shibecha, Rankoshicho, Shikaoicho and Nishiokoppe Village. On the last two days, delicious products will arrive from Toyoura-cho, Kembuchicho, Shimokawacho, Nayoro City, Moseushi Town and Shibetsu City. Opening hours vary by day, so please check the announcements. From Nishiokoppe Village, we’ll bring popular items from last time such as milk and cheese, wild vegetables, and canned venison and bear meat. Event Announcement 📣 On Sunday, September 28, the 44th Shikaoi Town Hometown Industry Festival will take place at a special venue at Roadside Station Shikaoi. 😊 The stage program features performances and dances by four groups, including the Kodomoen Shikaoi drum corps, and two shows of the popular anime "Kimi to Idol Precure♪" character show at 12:00 and 13:50. 🎵 Other highlights include a thrilling grand lottery with luxurious prizes and agricultural product sets, plus a guaranteed-win fun Garapon raffle where winners can get Shikaoi beef steak sets—there’s plenty to enjoy!! Introducing a One-Day Experience Tour 😄 ~A Tour Around Tokachi, the Dairy Kingdom~ A 1-DAY tour to learn about the lives of people who work with cows in Shintoku and Shimizu towns Shintoku and Shimizu, located in the northwest of Tokachi, are largely mountainous areas bordered on the west by the Hidaka Range and on the north by the Daisetsu mountain system. With little flat land, dairy farming thrives here more than crop cultivation. Kitahiro Farm is one of the large farms in Shintoku often called a mega-farm. It raises about 900 cows and works daily to ensure people can reliably enjoy safe, secure milk. In the afternoon we move to Shimizu town to visit Miyaji Farm. There, cows graze naturally around the clock and are fed only pasture, as the farm pursues dairy farming that minimizes the burden on the animals and on nature. Through farm work experiences, cheese making, and a stroll through the grasslands, you can feel the diversity of dairy farming in Tokachi. Please take this chance to encounter the lives of people living alongside other creatures. Yotsuba Dairy Factory Tour Located in Otofuke, Tokachi, Hokkaido, the Yotsuba Dairy Tokachi Main Factory offers a tour facility called Tasty Straight Pavilion. In addition to watching milk and butter being produced, visitors can enjoyably learn about dairy farming and the dairy industry. Yotsuba milk really is delicious! Melting Milk Cartons The other day I happened upon an experimental setup. Many milk cartons sat submerged in a pot. A staff member promoting wood education was peeling them off. At first I wondered what they were peeling. They were removing only the plastic film from the outside of the milk cartons so they could use the inner fibers. They silently peeled the warmed, water-soaked cartons and tore them into small pieces. The torn paper fibers went into a blender with water to be broken down even further. It looked a bit like porridge... Then, they took a handful of the pulpy fibers soaked in plenty of water and scooped them up with a poi net like those used for goldfish scooping. After scooping, they removed the excess water and gave the poi a sharp shake, causing the pulp to come away cleanly from the net. Once dried, the result is a perfectly round piece. You can also press in yarn, leaves, or other materials to create an original work.

[Okhotsk Fair Held at Chikaho] In 2024, my constant companion, the Setoushi-kun doll, made its Sapporo debut! Over two days on January 24th and 25th, the Okhotsk Fair took place in the Sapporo Station Underground Walkway (Chikaho). Municipalities and shop owners from various Okhotsk regions set up booths and exhibited. From Nishiohkobe Village, Milk Design Co. came to Chikaho. Although the weather was stormy across both days, foot traffic at Sapporo Station never dwindled, and visitors from abroad made purchases as well. Those two days were supported by neighboring booth exhibitors. Thank you very much!

Nice to meet you all! Hamanaka Town is the Tourism Association!
Since this is my first post, I would like to introduce myself to the Hamanaka Town.

Hamanaka Town is a small town with a population of 5300 in the Akkeshi of Hokkaido.
Hokkaido Hamanaka Town is a place full of charm where nature, climate, culture, food, and the warmth of the people envelop all visitors.

The average annual temperature in Hamanaka Town is 5.5°C, making it one of the coldest regions in Japan. The cold wind carried by the cold current brings the unique climate and weather of the four seasons of Hamanaka Town.

Designated as the sixth quasi-national park in Hokkaido in March 2021, Akkeshi Kiritappu Kombumori Quasi-National Park has two large wetlands, Bekanbeushi Wetland and Kiritappu Wetland.
Although Kiritappu Wetland is a low-lying area of less than 3 meters above sea level, it is a valuable tourist spot where you can see alpine plants due to the wetland environment, and many people visit it.
We hope you will enjoy the magnificent scenery in each season, such as the snowy scenery created by the harsh cold of winter and the about 300 kinds of flowers that bloom from spring to autumn!

Hamanaka Town is the birthplace of Monkey Punch, the original author of "Lupin the Third," and has been revitalizing the town featuring "Lupin the Third" for more than 10 years.
Lupin III wrapping buses, wrapping trains, and wrapping hire cars run throughout the city, signs of Lupin and Inspector Zenigata are installed at the station, and Monkey Punch's work room is reproduced in the Monkey Punch Collection at the Hamanaka Town Cultural Center, and there are many exhibits where you can fully experience the world of Lupin the Third.
At "Kiritappu Onsen Yuyu", there is also a sale of original goods of Lupin the Third that can only be obtained here, so it is recommended as a souvenir.

Surrounded by nature Hamanaka Town there are many popular scenic sightseeing spots.
"Biwase Observatory" is a spot where you can overlook the rich nature of the Hamanaka Town and has a breathtaking view.
Cape Azeti is located at the western end of the Kiritappu Peninsula and gives you a sense of the grandeur of nature.
Cape Kiritappu is located in the rough waves of the Pacific Ocean. Wild sea otters live in the surrounding area, and if you're lucky, you can even see them from the promenade leading to the tip of the cape.
In addition, there are campsites and relaxation places, and camping with a superb view overlooking the magnificent sea is popular.

When you visit Hamanaka Town, enjoy fresh seafood and popular gourmet food.
Kelp, salmon trout and autumn salmon, Toxilazu, saury, hairy crab, Hanasaki crab, Hokkai striped shrimp, hokki shellfish, clams, natural oysters, octopus, etc. are specialties, and fresh seafood that can only be tasted in Hamanaka Town will make tourists' tongues growl!
Hamanaka Town milk is produced in a high-standard environment and is also used as a raw material for the world-famous ice cream brand "Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream".
The umami that spreads in your mouth is unforgettable once you taste it.

You can experience the charm of Hamanaka Town to the fullest through the events and festival held throughout the year.
The "Hamanaka Cherry Blossom Festival" held in late May is a popular event held at Hamanaka Cherry Blossom Park, a cherry blossom viewing spot in the town.
At the Cape Kiritappu Festival held in mid-September, you can visit Cape Kiritappu Lighthouse and taste seasonal seafood at the food stall village.
