The ‘Nanki’ in Nanki Shirahama has been added in order to distinguish it from Shirahama Resort in Chiba Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture. The Shirahama Town area has been called ‘Nanki’ since long ago. No one knows since when, but people started to call the area Nanki Shirahama.
